2/15/16 UPDATE: Had things gone a little better with the seating situation, and if we stuck to popcorn, Im sure wed have had been a better experience. We will give it another chance and do more on our part to ensure we have a better time. ******* Let me point out it is not so much the fault of the staff but the system in which they follow. Ive been to other dine in theaters that had smaller screens and less comfortable chairs and had a better experience- the food is less than that of a bistro and more of a county fair concession stand. Complete with stale nachos and overcooked probably microwaved cheese fries that are hard as a rock and virtually inedible. Stick to the popcorn folks, if youre really hungry plan ahead and eat beforehand. I promise whatever restaurant you go to will have better food for the exact same price ($25--$50). They seemed to have more alcohol quantity and variety than food. Now the giant curved screen and lazy boy recliners have the upper hand on my favorite dine in theater, but that really means nothing if you are anywhere in the first 3 rows. Youre sitting a few feet from a massive screen that distorts the images and you have to fully turn your head to see the other side. A design flaw that should have been considered for this type of set up- those rows should not have been put in. The movie was simply not watchable. It shows they care only about filling as many seats as they can. Before you say " Its designated seating, you should have picked your own or gotten there sooner!" To that I say " Alas my friend we ordered our tickets for the upper row online a few days before, hoping to avoid said fiasco!". However, to our dismay we found our seats in the second row. When we confronted the manager he explained that we ordered our tickets from fandango -only because the cinemas website had no online ordering available- and that their program faulted causing the seating chart to be flipped or some B.S like that. Not only did they know about the issue they took no means to appease anyone the problem impacted. When we checked in they did not say " Oh I see your tickets are from fandango, unfortunately their program glitches and your seats may not be where you selected, will that be okay or should we arrange something else?" Maybe that is too much to ask, but they even refused to refund us for the tickets or check for available seating, even for a later showing. And because we ordered through fandango, the website even refused to refund us because the movie had already started by that time. So we were screwed. In my occupation if we are aware of an issue like that we make sure to inform our customers so they dont waste their time or money not getting what they paid for. This is the first time I have ever walked out of a theater. And it wasnt even because of the movie. Thumbs down.

Lets start on the positive. The theater was nice, clean, and the seats are comfy. Not as posh as some of the other "luxury" theaters Ive been to, but fairly decent. The theater staff were all incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly. The beer on tap during a movie is quite nice. The movie quality was great, as was the sound, so no complaints on the movie going experience, however... The "Bistro" part is quite the stretch. Its nothing more than your crappy movie theater food. No one was eating anywhere that I could see and after I tasted my meal, I knew why. I figured this being the first time, I would play it safe and just get a good old, easy to prepare, difficult to screw up hamburger. The hamburger bun was so greasy it was soggy and was more like a paste smeared on the bottom of the burger. It was dripping with mayo (even after requesting very light on the mayo), the lettuce was a brown, wilted, soggy gross mess, and the burger fell apart so bad I felt like I was eating sloppy joes. It was so bad I couldnt make it through 1/3 of it and ended up tossing the rest. I wouldve rather had a McDonalds Big Mac, and I never eat at Micky Ds. The tase was rancid and awful and even after trying to mask it with a scoop of Ice cream, a beer, some of my wifes coke, and some gum, I still had to brush my teeth an rinse with Listerine to get the greasy memory off my taste buds. All that to say, if youre going for dinner, please pass. If youre going to see a movie and relax, then its a good place. Please do yourself a favor and go to a real restaurant for a decent meal first. Or just grab some Red Vines and Popcorn, thats waaay better and probably better for you.

This is for the XD theater only. a) a warning. NOTHING in the first three rows center is even remotely comfortable. It is far too close and the seats dont recline enough. The group next to us sat down and immediately got up and requested a refund. Why we didnt follow suit I have no idea. Id guess 70% of the remaining people in the first three rows either left half way through or got up and stood in the aisles of the upper section. b) The seats are nothing like other recliner seats Ive experienced in other theaters. They are much more firm and recline much less. Yes, they are foam, but a firm foam. Width was fine for me, but Im an average sized female, I doubt a male would find them "wide". Both females in our group were very uncomfortable (more so than in a regular theater). c) concession staff: ugh. I know its early and the holiday season, but my gosh. The first person essentially looked at me like I was insane asking if they had soda water. He actually scoffed in his response. The second person was nicer, but handed me a beer and box of popcorn and told me to grab my soda from the cooler, not realizing that was physically impossible. So nice, but not good at her job. An offer of a tray as others were given would have helped. Bottom line, this seems like a poor attempt at an upscale theater. Ill give this one more chance with seats further back (Im ok with them in regular theaters, though they are not my favorite) but the changing the location of where we sit wont change the rest of the experience. Disappointing.

My husband and I have been here probably 10-12 times since they opened- we usually go on discount night (tuesday). In order to really enjoy this theatre, you can get accustomed to working the system. EVERY theatre has expensive soda and popcorn, thats a given. They have to make money somewhere and $5.50 for a ticket for a blockbuster hardly pays for reshow rights. We eat before we go, and bring along our refill cup, which costs $3.50 to fill up and share it since its huge (no one needs more soda than that, right?). If you use their mobile app, you will occasionally get a "free small popcorn with large drink purchase" and YES that refill counts for a large drink purchase. If you want to reserve seats in advance (which is awesome) use a gift card to pay at checkout to bypass the convenience fee. Even if its only $1 from the card, this waives the fee. In total, it costs us $14.50 for two tickets, soda and popcorn (when we have a coupon, which is once or twice a month). Considering the theatre is always clean (even though Ive seen what a wreck patrons leave it in), the chairs working, and staff polite, theres not much to dislike. If you expect upscale, cheap food from a theatre, you probably wont like it here. If you just want to see a movie in a plush setting for the same price as pretty much every other theatre in town, give it a try.
