I attended a Holliday party last Friday at their clubhouse. The appetizers were pretty good. The entree was a different story though. The meat was dry (chicken and salmon), and the vegetables were fine. I havent heard any complaints nor praise about the steak, so I assume it was decent. Finally they served the wrong desert, a vanilla bean pannacotta instead of the berry cobbler. It was terrible, a chunk of tasteless rubber with three berries on top. The service wasnt better. We could hardly get any bread, it took for ever to serve the entrees and when you finished your glass of water , you were lucky if they refilled it. When we provided feedback on their bad performance, they gave us a bunch of excuses basically saying that it was our fault for choosing too many entree options, and that the desert was an upgrade that they gave us without notice nor consent. For the desert, when we realized we had the wrong one, we checked another group having lunch, and guess what? The desert on their menu was the vanilla bean pannacotta and they were eating the berry cobbler.

Played course on Friday around 10:30 and although the course in itself is very fair and was challenging especially the greens which are quick and very well sloped. If you were not in the right position on the green, three putts will be in order. Great layout and will play it again when in area. My only negative comment was the marshal, although I am using this term loosely, was not monitoring the groups. We had a foursome that was two groups ahead of mine and they were holding up play and when I pointed out to the marshal that they had a complete hole ahead of them and were backing up the three groups behind them, he drove away and did nothing to have them speed up play so that the groups behind did not have to wait at least 5 minutes on each hole on the back nine. I asked very respectfully if he could at least point out to them they were holding up play and he did nothing. He needs to be striped of that duty because slow play is a round enjoyment killer for me and my group.

This is a great golf course but rookies beware!!! My fiance and myself joined a tournament for fun, non-competitive, and had the worst experience ever. As it was my fiances first time out we were allowing others to play through due to the time taken per shot. However, the marshall on the course (the guy with the cocker spaniel) was incredibly disrespectful. I would like to warn all beginners-STAY AWAY FROM THIS COURSE!!!! Only professional golfers must be allowed here as the marshall approached my fiance with profanity and threats due to her lack of speed in play. He was riding along side us on each hole of the back nine and it got to the point that we just left in the middle of the tournament because of all the harrassment! I would strongly recommend to avoid this golf course if you are looking for a nice paced peaceful day of golf.I would like to add that this is a great course and I would love to play there again aside from the marshall. Its just not worth the trouble.

I attended the holiday party offered by the facility on New Years Eve with a group of friends. Our table was reserved personally on Thanksgiving Day by one of our friends who requested the table in the main room with the music. For our surprise, a banquet table was assigned in a side room by a big window. We were cold because was no heater and we had to keep our coats on. Some of our friends were dispersed in the bar and we couldnt enjoy the food together. What kind of sense that made to us? There was no holiday spirit in the room. We could reserve a table in a restaurant and have a better food for the price since the food was mediocre.Taking to a gentleman later, who invited me to sit at his table that he had room in it told me he tipped the guy and got a table the Friday before the party. Was that right?

8/8/15 I am really new to hitting golf balls and so far Ive only been to the driving ranges at Boundary Oak in Walnut Creek and at Diablo Creek in Concord. Boundary Oak doesnt have lights for night operation so its a day-use only driving range. Large buckets are $9 and there are lots of spots. I prefer ones close to the very end so that nobody can see me and laugh (except the lefties). You can drive up to the parking lot by the driving range and there are plenty of parking spots. Not sure if there is a restaurant or bar nearby unless theres a private event (weve been to a couple of beautiful weddings here!) This place is close to my home and its nice, but its my second favorite driving range out of two. (I wish they had lights for nighttime practice).

Horrific experience last night at our company Christmas party - This was suppose to be a joyous occasion with friends and family. However, this turned out to be a nightmare of biblical proportion. Myself and others were infected with the worst case of food poisoning ever in my life. The chicken or the salad was laced with bacteria of the worst kind... Its was SO BAD i became ill while driving home that nigh... Something needs to be done about food preparation and quality control standards at this establishment. This was a planned event arranged weeks or even months in advance. Apparently the food was prepared weeks and months in advance as well - and became an incubator for E-coli.... What a shame...

Good course, but dont play early in the morning. I dont often write reviews, but other golfers need to be aware! I teed off pretty early, somewhere around 6:10am. We finished the front 9 in about 90 minutes. Once we made the turn there were three groups lined up on the 10th tee. We went in and asked why was there so many groups in front of us? The courses response was "we let people tee off on the back 9 in the morning." We ended up leaving and not able to get a refund for the 2nd 9 we didnt get to play. I will likely never play here again. If I do, it wont be early.

Very nice golf course with a solid and challenging layout. Surrounded by oak trees and an abundance of wildlife. Watch out in tall grass for there are known to be rattlesnakes in the area. It has 4 practice greens, two are for chipping and two for just putting. The green near the clubhouse is huge and offers a wide range of holes to choose from. The only downside of this golf course is the range and its lack of distance targets and the times that they shut the range down. Other than that its a nice place to play and practice.

I attended my nephews wedding here at Boundary Oak Golf Course, I have great time and I have enjoyed the celebration they had here. This place has nice environment, huge spacy ball room, good food, beautiful settings, great services, and its nice to celebrate any occasions here. This will be the second times that we will celebrated a family wedding here.

I played her for the first time this weekend while attending the Alan David Vasilauskas Memorial Golf Tournament, benefiting the Bay Area Crisis Nursery. It is a fun course and is very well maintained. We also had dinner there which was delicious and the services was great. Overall I couldnt have asked for a better experience.
