I viewed the 9:40am of SPECTRE. When the trailers began, there were no visuals, just audio. It went on for some time until I had to go out to the main lobby and notify an attendant. When I returned to the theatre, there were still no visuals. In other words, if I had not gone out there, no one on the staff wouldve known. When the movie ended without further incident, there were no Pacific Beaches Employees, much less the Manager, there to apologize to any of us about the malfunction. If this were Arclight Theater, an Arclight Employee wouldve been there in the beginning to make sure everything was running smoothly. And if there was any difficulty, they wouldve given us free passes for our inconvenience or at the very least, an explanation. It is called customer service. Too bad Pacific Beaches Winnetka didnt step up for their negligence. I was actually a fan of Pacific Beaches over Arclight. With this bad experience, I will be taking my money to Arclight from now on.

Ive been here several times. Its a convenient place to hang out and watch a movie. The seats are reclinable now, VERY similar to the AMC ones. Tickets for adults (I believe) are $7.75 until noon. There is a special viewing theater in the theater itself, where I believe you can watch the same movies, but in 3d. Bathrooms are conveniently near the soda dispensers and doors to movies. The staff are nice and helpful. Even if you are lost or something happens where you are removed from the theater area (where you actually view movies), they can help you. When you enter, there are the typical snack shops with the typical snacks. The bathrooms are big and seem nice. The outside gives a lot of shade, and the entrance is fairly big. There are planters outside to sit and covered sitting areas. In addition, Menchies and Blue Ice Cafe are next to the theater. The theater itself is located in a large lot, with a big parking area, and a few restaurants across.

Gorgeous when it opened. In less than ten years, its become one of the worst theaters Ive ever experienced. Dirty. Neglected. Poorly staffed. Expensive to boot. They used to have two big box offices, but they only rarely staffed more than one, and rarely with more than one or two people. (That would be fine at non-peak hours but the lines always moved slowly.) They put in some ticket machines a while back, but those were almost always broken. Then they replaced an entire box office with ticket machines. Id had some luck with the new batch, but last time I went half the newer machines were broken, too. The concessions stands have gone to seed, too. Theyve moved the soda fountains to self-serve areas. You can imagine how sloppy those can get at the end of the night. Its so bad, I usually drive out to Simi or Granada Hills rather than go here, if I want to see something not at the Laemmele.

This place needs a serious overhall. The theatre I was in looked and sounded like a 90s hold over. The picture quality was sub par and the sound was like it came from an old tv played through a can. There was an audible and distracting hum at all times. I saw a 3d movie there and the glasses made me feel like I was watching through binoculars. There was spilled popcorn all about from the previous show as well. I did not stick through the first five minutes of the actual film. Their service was good though. I told them my problem and they offered to tell the projectionist, but my experience and mood was already ruined. They gave me a prompt refund when I asked for it. Poor girl was swamped as well.

The Cinesation seats that punched my butt and kidneys were SO DISTRACTING, WE hated it! It made no sense and it physically hurt! - I had to sit on the front edge of my seat, and my kid went and sat on the stairs! - The Feedback board at the exit gave no opportunity to leave Negative feedback as deserved - and everyone I spoke with hated it too on the way out. Either give us an on/off switch on each seat or else get rid of it... I NEVER want to experience that again! Id have left and returned for a later show but the next one was too late for my kid. Count this review as two people very unhappy with the Cinesation feature at Kingsmen Secret Service 7:30 pm show, Saturday, March 7th

I came to this theatre with my daughter and mother in law and was detained because we refused to let them look in our purses. They didnt check men pockets only Lady bags. When I asked what they were looking for the idiot employee said it was their old policy that they are now reinforcing. He never answered my question or gave me a straight answer. I will never go there again! Young kids I can understand but middle aged and senior citizens? Give me a break! Are they checking for snacks and drinks or weapons? Be honest and let people know before they buy the tickets that they are subject to a search.

This is a big theater that is not well taken care of or staffed. The seats are older and not that comfortable. Most of the theaters are dirty and the trash cans are full. Now the worst part for me is the patrons. Kids running around, people on their cell phone (the guy behind me last night got a call and continued talking during the movie), and talking throughout the movie. Its about $12.75 a movie and you basically get what you pay for. I do like their popcorn and if you buy a large, you get one free refill!

Nice and comfortable seats! Theyre recliners and are bigger than other theaters with recliners. Didnt like the fact that each seat is individually set up, other theaters you can lift up the center arm rest to make it feel like a couch for 2. The thing I really didnt like was that there was tagging throughout the entire theater, even on the screen! The popcorn tasted as if it was old and when I told the food service person he said thats how they are there and that it was a fresh batch

Great place to watch movies, since I believe it has been redesigned. The theaters are smaller, and fit less chairs which is not bad. The chairs recline back and you can watch the movies comfortably while laying on your back, even if youre far in the front rows A and B. However, like usual, the food, popcorn, and drinks are still extremely overpriced. $6.25 for a large soda, but thats what you expect at the movies. Reclining chairs are a definite plus in the theaters.

This theater has been around for awhile and desperately needed the recent renovation it received. Having reserved seating and plush seats was a great idea to breathe life back into this place. Its now a formidable competitor with AMC who has made similar upgrades years ago. In addition to being very plush, the seats allow customers to move through aisles much easier now. My suggestion is for the theater to upgrade their soda fountains to freestyle machines.

Pacific theatres stepped up to the plate. They realized that people dont mind spending $12 per ticket but they like to be comfortable. People, customers, want to be comfortable when they watch a 2-3 hr movie. But I cant be a true critic without telling you guys that the snacks are still extremely overpriced and the selection is still slim to none. Step it up with the snacks or even meals and you will be 5 stars from everyone for a while.
