If youre like me and are sick of the RIDICULOUSLY low volumes levels all theaters have recently become accustomed to due to the complaints from your fellow man, this theater IS for you. Actually I can only speak for the IMAX at the moment but still! When I was a kid, a theater was a place to go to be fully engrossed in whatever reality I was about to enter, with a big screen and a BOOMing sound that made me feel like I was right there in the action - But no more... After my last few years of movie going Ive accepted that a theater is a place to go to get a big picture and hear nothing but the breathing and chewing of my fellow patrons - not that I mind the chewing, we are a chewing society and should be aloud to chew as we please. NO, my problem is with the SOUND- Now adays I can BARLEY make out what anyone on screen is saying, bullets sound like pathetic little bees buzzing by and any sort of ambience is non existent. I had finally learned to accept this until finally it happend.. The complainers got to my imax. IMAX was my safe heaven, a place to go where no one would dare touch my volume but yet, after an imax screening of Avengers Age of Ultron , Id found that the age of loudness had finally ended. It was then that I knew I was done fully enjoying movies. BUT NOT ANYMORE, for I have stumbled onto this regal cinema where the voices are fierce and the bullets fly at me with a force I havent felt in years. Rejoice my fellow non virgined eared people, For this theater HAS THE VOLUME YOUVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR!!!!! After seeing a showing of Captain America Civil War for my first time at the Amc Fallbrook, I was further reminded how sad and pathetic the theater volumes had become. (It literally felt like everyone in the film was whispering) BUUT on my second viewing at this theater, it was like ascending to the heavens again. Oh and the picture was nice too. So long story long, if youve been searching for a theater that has good picture and good sound -> here ya go, because this is the one theater (besides the TCL) around here that actually knows what a theater is. At least...For now... 5*****!!!

Let me preface my entire by saying this : I have never in my almost 19 years of living have experienced a single problem in any movie theater up until now. A couple of friends and I decided we wanted to see It on Saturday night at a 9:15 showing. Based on past experiences with larger opening weekends we all decided to buy our tickets a couple of hours earlier without a single hitch. Fast forward to all of us sitting in the theater and we start to notice something strange : Its 9:30 and the movie still hasnt started. In fact, we had seen a preview for the EXACT movie we were trying to see TWICE. A few helpful employees announced that things hopefully should be working soon and that there was a minor issue going on. As the seconds turned into minutes, We assumed there was something wrong but everyone in the theater was obviously willing to wait. So of course, we decided to wait out the obvious technical difficulties that the Regal staff had to deal with After waiting a grand total of an HOUR and a half in a full theater a bunch of people (my group and I included) decide to see whats going on. The manager obvious stressed offers us customers a choice, we can either wait until the 11:35 showing or we can get a voucher for a free movie in the future. So basically, everyone in the theater had wasted their time and got a voucher that actually doesnt let you see the movie even after opening weekend. But hey, it couldve been worse. At least the chairs were comfortable.

Be prepared to not get the seats you request even when they are open and available AND you go the day before to buy them. I was told I could not have the seats that were available and that I had to move my seat selection over because they expect to sell out that showing. You may expect it but the point of assigned seating is to be able to choose the seats you want if they are available. I guess there should be fine print somewhere warning us. Not to mention they charge you more than they are supposed. If you already have regal tickets they make you pay a surcharge because they are a luxury theater so your tickets dont cover the cost. So if you buy discounted tickets through your work that they have an agreement with regal to be honored at full price, then regal suddenly doesnt honor it. Youre discounted $10 tickets arent honored at $11 AND they arent even honored to the cost you paid. So instead of you paying a dollar more (if they really wont honor it and want the full price), instead they make you pay $2 with your ticket. So while someone else can walk up and pay $11, you get punished for you discounted ticket and pay $12.

LOVE LOVE the beautiful, new fully reclining, amazingly comfortable seats! Regal has done a wonderful job with the seating! Truly makes for a great movie going experience ... A+ The seating area is kept very clean and the theater staff are very friendly and helpful. However, the lobby and the entrance are definitely in need of updating. The snack bar is totally unappetizing - needs modernizing. I would love to see the outside of the theater get a makeover too. The entrance of the theater desperately needs a renovation. Its so drab and boring looking, no appeal. Something more in line with Edwards Calabasas would be a better match with the incredible new seating. Come on Regal Simi Valley ... youre halfway there with providing the residents a really fabulous theater!

This is a nice theater with a lot of amenities. Just make sure you buy your tickets through Fandango and pick them up at the kiosk; youll save so much time! Also, do NOT come for midnight premieres! I will forever regret the day I went to the 12:01 showing for The Hunger Games last year. There were only 1 or 2 seats left when I walked in and there were a bunch of girls screaming their heads off and spewing profanity whenever they could all throughout the film -- theater staff did not care.

Currently at the 25 minute mark waiting for a chicken sandwich. I dont know what their process is in the kitchen, but someone has to fix it. It takes forever to get hot food here. Now if it was made fresh, brought to me, and I could be watching my movie while I wait, than 25 minutes is fine. Like Studio Movie Grill. **update** 30 minute mark. A woman just walked by and asked if I was waiting for anything. Mine hasnt even started being made yet...

This is my favorite theater in Simi Valley. The service is great and the theater is always clean. It isnt the cheapest theater but its worth it for the service they provide and the quality of movies. The seats are very comfortable leather lougne chairs that recline and you get to reserve your seat when purchasing the ticket. The seats are also spread out a bit so you dont feel squished together. I recommend checking this place out.
