This was my first gay bar when I came out back in 2002. Its not the best bar anymore. I recently began going more frequently and have not had the best experiences. They start charging right at 7:45 PM, while I realize that is bar time I have got in to many other clubs where they dont enforce that rule right up to the last minute... I guess they must really need the money, as they start cover from Thursday thru Saturday (so not worth the $5 on most nights) also, you must have cash! I was short by $1 and tried to use quarters and was told they have a "no coin policy" Give me a break! Last I checked money is money. Dont bother trying to get free water either- they charge for that too LOL... I go there to meet up with friends but I think Ill get there before cover and drink before I get in from now on as I wont be dropping another penny there. Sorry but I get much better service and less clicky crowds at clubs I havnt even been going to as long.

They would have more space if the bar is moved to the other side of the walls (option to split it in 2 sections). The Dj is stubborn playing the same music over & over including a lot of obscene (with bad lyrics) for a very long time although rhythm is nice (I see people annoyed & leaving); house and tribal should be added. The go-go dancers look skinny w/o personality. Must encourage more beautiful ordinary crowd of all types and cultures, stylish people to come with more sophisticated and traditional environment ....

but twards the end of the night there was a fight and while i was attempting to save my drink security pushed me to the floor and attempted to choke me out, i called the next day and attempted to give the managment team a heads up and doing so it seemed they were just trying to get me off the phone as if i were annoying them so ya extremely fun atmos. nice patrons but paul blart was a little to trigger happy

Ive been coming here for over twenty years. I have seen so many changes and new people come. Have made a lot of friends throughout the years. Vip is a great place to come and relax after those trying days at work, with a nice cold beverage. Could not ask for a better group to be around. Thank you for making every visit better then the last!!

I would give this place more stars but the FAT, UGLY, DIRTY, CHEAP BASEBALL CAP WEARING, NASTY LICE INFESTED BEARD, WANNABE BOUNCER was a douchebag and told me I couldnt stand against the wall while trying to watch the show BUT HE SAID NOTHING TO BITCHES THAT STOOD THERE AFTER I MOVED. Not going back to this hole in the wall queer bar.

We take the Harleys from Merrill Ave,, this is always a great stop for a cold beer or drink. Waitresses are always pleasant and the drinks are always cold. The tables overlooking the Riverside Inlet is a great place to relax with friends. If youre in the area, drop in and see the ladies for a cold one!

It was boring, the service sucked, a lot of crack heads, not alot of attractive people...plus they try to nickel and dime you, I went to my car for a few minutes then the boncer wouldnt let me back in without paying after he just let my friend in a few minutes ago...i want my money back

This is an awesome, local bar which is gay-oriented, that is very welcoming, treats you like family and will always be a great source of relaxation, entertainment, drinks and an overall good time and place to chill and have fun. I highly recommend it!!

As a former stripper / go go boy / boy toy....VIP is A place to go and be treated very well... I luv clubs with smell of nasty in the air....Strong vibe, great beats, and the go go boys are pure XXX.... I never go home disappointed from the VIP!

I really LOVE The VIP. They could probably use more bar help. I think they could use some new decor. I think they could use better curtains on the drag stage. They are transparent and you can see things that shouldnt be seen.

I love the drag show and the bartenders BUT i do not come often becaise their music is too old school. Wish they played more bachata,regeton,hip-hop, and ti dont come echno. Then I would come a lot more with friends.

They have some fierce attractive drag entertainers in their shows if you like drag shows. That was the only reason I went. The crowd was ok. It will be my second time tonight. I hope I will like people more this time.

I dislike the dj very much. My friends and I cant have a good time with the music that dj plays , its always techno which gets annoying for a while. Some Spanish music and good old club music would be better !
