So I might be a little unreliable because Ive only been there once so far, but it was soooo much fun. The guys at the door shouldve been frustrated because it was so crowded and people were going in and out so much (noise would blast out of the place every time the door opened)... but they handled it really well, and never got rude or even upset, really. It gets a hot inside, obviously, but thats just what happens when theres a floor full of people gettin down. On the downside, drinks took forever, and the shots I ordered came out way too small. Oh well.

So much fun on Sundays when the Redskins games are playing! Huge Redskins bar so if youre a fan, youll fit right in. They give out free shots whenever the Skins get a touchdown, too. Ive never been for a music show even though I tell myself I will, but somehow never get around to it. They dont serve food, but theyre perfectly fine with you bringing food in and there are some good options close by. They also have a raffle every Skins game for random fun prizes like socks, decals, and even jerseys!

The live music at Winstons is always on point! Super nice and local chill bartenders, fun and unique music venue (the atmosphere is basically a cool sort of dive bar that fills up with music lovers to see great bands), and right down the street from the beach. Having played here before and seen many other bands play, this is the spot to do music right in Ocean Beach! Local hometown heroes Slightly Stoopid even played a secret benefit show here a couple years ago - always a blast! -Brendan

My first going and alas, I was a bit disappointments that such a popular joint was nothing more than a bar with a tiny stage and a few tables of seating for karaoke. My friends and I decided we didnt want to stand around in the back as there were no seats left, so we decided to head to another lounge. Not to mention that at $10 bucks a drink and a two drink Winstons Beach Club to stay and sing, there are plenty of less expensive and less crowded karaoke options in the city.

The bouncer refused to allow my service animal after I displayed her paperwork. I know they can have some good bands sometimes, but based on the aggresive and rude nature of some of their staff, I would avoid it on moral grounds. This is an establishment that obviosly doesnt care about Family values. I deeply implore anyone who reads this to boycott this establishment. They embody so much of what is so wrong in the scene right now.

This bar is often over priced (to get in) however sometimes the music is amazing and worth the $5 or $10 cover charge. There is a small dance floor but that is okay cause there is usually room for you to get your groove on! There are several bar tops tables to sit at and plenty of seating at the bar - they also have a good selection of beer on tap. They are also conveniently located right off Newport in Ocean Beach. Check it out!!

Only the elite of Ocean Beach come here to both unwind and socialize with other locals. I suggest coming by on wednesday or friday evening and check out the comedy, every other day of the week is great too though. Theres always live music and great folks to meet, make sure and tell Jesse Egan that The Roach says hi , and if you are really lucky the local sandwichery will be in house making culinary magic happen.

The HARDWIRED Metallica tribute Band was awsome. The sound could have been more balanced and lead guitarist more up front. The atmosphere was as electric as a METALLICA show. The songs were expertly played one after another. Well structured show. The barkeep and servers were super as ever. Great job WINSTONS

went for Open Mike night and took a few visiting friends. Some old dude was on stage in a clearly full diaper and wearing knickers. He was so drunk he could barely stand up, and he rambled on about religion while grabbing his crotch every time one of the Hispanic male cleaners walked by. DISGUSTING!

Winsotns has a great character with great decor, friendly and professional staff, good drink prices and nice live music selection. OB in its best. Went there on Tuesday for a local band show and it wasnt that crowded which was kinda cool since I could feel local San Diego vibe.

If you want to feel the pulse of the OB scene, Winstons is a must visit. Whether its a funky brass jam, Dead cover band, or members of Slightly Stoopid just popping in for a set, this dark and dirty venue is an OB institution.

Nice neighborhood bar off the beaten path. Well known for its local Ocean Beach atmosphere. Set up great for live music complete with a small dance floor and an endless supply of ones favorite beverage to imbibe in.

Ive seen a lot of bands over the years at Winstons and it was always a great time. Some bands were; Sandollar, Califarians and Labor of Love. There is a big dance floor and lots of ladies willing to dance!

A surprisingly big venue located in the heart of Ocean Beach. Full bar, chill staff, and of course with anyplace in OB great people watching. I am glad they are doing more electronic shows here as well.

An awesome place to listen to live reggae after the Wednesday night farmers market in OB! You cant find anything like Winstons anywhere else in San Diego.
