Never heard of the venue until Icelandic pop singer Björk hosted one of her Biophilia concerts here. It was superb listening her music and the seating/standing arrangements are up close and personal. The pavilion has a spectacular window outlook of the bay! Especially if there is a full moon! Be aware that they charge you for parking at their location (ours was $15.00). Apparently there is a lot of street parking for the early birds who want to avoid the fees. The venue also has ferries in service for those residing in San Francisco. Exiting the venue can be a traffic jam nightmare---my group just waited for everyone to leave. I recommend bringing a sweater and chill by the bay---it really is pretty!

The Craneway is the old 1931 Ford Motor plant repurposed into a state-of-the-art venue for concerts and other special events. The view of the bay and city skyline is stunning, especially in the evening. The premier event held here, in my opinion, is the pre-Independence Day fireworks show, which has become an annual event on July 3. The East Bay Symphony orchestra plays for a few hours while you sit on your blanket and picnic inside the huge building. Then, everyone shuffles outside to the edge of the bay for the fireworks show. Right next door is the Rosie the Riveter museum, a very well put together tribute to the women workers of WWII.

This is a small event venues (as event venues go) built into one end of the historic Ford Assembly plant at the edge of the Marina Bar area. Events here run from home fairs to model railroad shows to electric car showcases to womens roller derby! It also hosts many private events. Wedding receptions seem to be the most frequent. I particularly like that theyve preserved the overhead cranes (non functional). And on the Bay Trail which travels around 3 sides? The railroad tracks are still embedded in the pavement! When you walk in, there is no doubt that this was once an industrial space, yet it fills its current day purpose well.

The Pavilion is a rentable venue that has a regular booking schedule and events. Company trainings, special events, exercise classes, festivals, and many more have been at this location. Next door is a restaurant. This is a "after work" type of crowd of local working professionals. Its location is a bit difficult to find, but has a great atmosphere and a waterfront view. The "Assemble" restaurant can be slow at times, and sometime really packed.

Wow. I live near the Craneway and have enjoyed many events there in the past, but the Bjork concert really confirmed that this venue has the chops to accomodate any major musical talent. The acoustics and presentation were amazing. Cant wait to see my next show there. Matmos? Kishi Bashi?

I went here for my daughters 8th grade graduation. Nice open space with good sound. Could hear and see everything, even from the back area seating. Plenty of parking, not covered, & dirty. Nice venue on the water good for pictures. Room for outside seating.

It is a a cool looking old building in a beautiful location. I have seen many bay area derby girl games here. The new bleachers are nicer than the old ones (but still bleachers and not seats) and the sound system could be improved.

We had the BSNC - Bead Society Bead Bazaar there last year and had a wonderful time !! We are back again this year April 15-16. FREE PARKING, straight down the road from 580, easy in/out, glass walls give natural lighting.
