Not only can you tell by the website, but Studio 6 Ballroom is truly the real place to be in Tacoma. Studio 6 Ballroom strives to create not only a home for the dance community in the SeaTac area but for the whole community in general. Frequently S6 has events involving other local businesses on 6th Ave such as their famous Progressive Dinner. The ballroom is currently getting renovated to be more neutral and attract anyone wanting to a rent a space for various reasons. The ballroom not only features Natasha Thayer as a Master Coach but as a National Title holder as well. Shes more than qualified to teach and does so with patience, and takes the time to cater to learning habits, and needs. She makes a point to say that she wants to help. Not just with dance, but shes always there to listen if you have a problem. Studio 6 Ballroom has other amazing coaches as well, such as Dan, Sandra, Morghan, and Ada just to name a few. Each willing to help their students grow and learn. With tons of events, dance lessons, fitness programs, and even self defense training, how could you go wrong? I highly recommend this studio for anyone wanting to dance.

In february, we started taking group west coast swing dance lessons with the intent of performing in front of our friends and family during our first dance. We were initially impressed by the studio and recommended them to another couple who wanted to have a choreographed first dance also. In four lessons they were able to have a great dance. We then hired the owner who had been our instructor for three lessons to choreograph our dance. We had two lessons and were disappointed that we paid $75 a lesson and hardly had anything put together. While we were not experts in dancing but we catch on pretty quickly. We expressed our concern and have since been treated very unprofessionally. We requested a refund for the final lesson and have not been contacted in anyway or recieved a refund. We are very disappointed in how we have been treated, we brought additional business to the studio as well as spending hundreds of dollars there ourselves. We would not recommend this place to anyone now.

Ok so I dont mean to brag, but this is serious the hippest place to do Salsa in Tacoma! I used to go to Arthur Murray, which is nice and has good technique, but Natasha is AMAZING at teaching Salsa, Bachata and Cha Cha! Ive only taken Salsa classes, but she makes everything very practical in the sense that she teaches you how to lead. She teaches styling and most importantly how to flow with the rhythm. She is not caught up in perfect technique and you WILL know how to dance at a club! Friday nights are FUN and safe! I go there with my friends regularly! There are a lot of good dancers there and always a good group of beginners. No one that Ive seen tries to hit on anyone, everyone is very respectful and there are smiles all around.

Natasha is amazing! In just one lesson she had me and my husband dancing! This dance studio is fluid and welcoming. Seriously...he walked in like Frankenstein and walked out like Fred Astaire. We, as a couple have benefited from Natasha and Wess expert instruction. She meets beginners and works w/ where they are at, while @ the same time puts on major competitions! Her national title holder status speaks for itself.

Went here with some friends and it was so much fun. It gets really packed for Salsa and sometimes they turn the lights off and out disco lights. So much fun. Only complaint I have would be that sometimes is hard to see the moves the choreographer is doing because of how packed it is. Other than that recommend it to anybody that wants to have a good night!

Its a ton of fun. Cool, party atmosphere on Fridays for an open dance night, and you can dance as much or as little as you want, and bring anyone you want. I appreciated that the instructors made me feel welcome right away. Really nice group of people!

Always accepting of all levels. I was fifty before I ever took my first dance lesson. If Natasha can teach me to dance she can teach anyone. Bring a partner or come alone its always a safe atmosphere and your sure to have fun!

Welcoming, relaxed and patient. They help you feel like part of the family and dont judge. Perfect for beginners, those who know a little something and even those who already know a lot... You will all fit in.
