I just moved to San diego from Boston. I went to this theater with my husband because we really enjoy watching movies together. We have always used AMC in boston and were happy to find one so close in the area. We went on a friday to see a new movie that came out to find it was sold out, we watched a different movie instead. We decided to go back in a couple of days to try and catch the original movie wanted to see (the first time we went). We even downloaded tickets on Fandango so we could make sure we got in. we got there 30mins early after spending $22 on tickets (2) and getting 2 icee drinks, large popcorn, and a couple canducandy treats (food $30!! ). We got there just in time because the theater filled up packed quick! Ive never been so cramped in a AMC before. Half way through the movie I felt sick. I had a headache and my stomach was upset, I figured maybe it was the theater, theater smell makes me a little sick at times. When the movie was over we headed out and I just as I made out the exit I really needed to use the bathroom. I circled around to the entrance and wad confronted by staff at the red ropes. I asked to use the bathroom and the wowan staff member told me the bathrooms were out of order....as I watch people clearly walking into the bathrooms across the hall behind her. she told me to use the mall bathroom across the food court (was not aware. New to the mall layout). I was feeling so sick we canceled plans to go out to dinner. I went home straight to bed to rest. I woke up 2 hrs later with a yellow droll coming out of my mouth. I got up and threw up a combination of yellowish butter and popcorn. Will never go back. Do not recommend. Worst AMC I have ever been to. I guess the only upside are the comfy seats.

First of they have the worst customer service. I am a very nice and I hardley take my son out because he is autistic. People dont really understan his personality so its hard going out to enjoy stuff he loves. I took my son to go see Sing movie but unfortunately we got there 10 mins in to the movie . After getting our tickets we lined for popcorn because my son wanted some. We were already 30 mins late we got in the movie teather and it was full right after the ticket lady told us it was 65% empty. We then walk back to guest services to get a rain check and they denied us. The two supervisors are rude and unprofessional. They judge you by how you look and about most of the staff stand around talking about customers. I ask the supervisor his name (Johnathan ) and i walk back to the car with my son. I just like to say to all the othere mom with special needs kids never to go to this establishment if you care about your kids feelings. I now promise myself to never go to this establishment ever again. Bad management and bad service. It makes you feel bad about spending money at a place that has no respect for other people. They dont deserve to be ranked good.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!! The soda machines are dirty and could have been at least wiped down once or twice before 7pm. The escalators are broken and the elevators operate as if they havent been serviced since the 90s. Then when it came time for the actual movie, we had two people walking around throughout the whole movie talking to the highly intoxicated people.....they almost had 2 fights and the show I remember was more about the people in the audience and not the movie....then we walk outside the theatre (like 3 other couples to find security, a manager or zoo keepers to try and control the craziness inside) and three employees are leaning on the wall, phones in hand just doing nothing while the customers are inside trying to control the situation....I called and spoke with the manager Casey and he said that "I should have done more to get someones help during the movie and he cant do anything about my experience...." yea thanks for your help and the $78.56 ($35+ for 2 tickets) that we spent on the movie and food went to waste because of the overall negative experience.....

I went last night and was told there were five seats left and, if I didnt like my seat, I could request a voucher for another movie. After the film concluded, I requested a voucher and was told I had to leave the film without watching it then I could request a voucher. This was not what I was told before purchasing a ticket. The Manager was called over and she too refused to honor their offer. Bad business, dishonorable, and a short sighted response. Ive been a long term patron of this establishment and they may lose me as a customer altogether. Im certainly going to give them less business than I would if they were honorable. They could provide one voucher for a free movie? Also, the theatre was very hot and uncomfortable. The people around me were all complaining. I guess the owners too cheap to turn on the air conditioning. Overall, very disappointing.

Too long of a wait to purchase tickets. Only one person selling tickets even though they had 7 registers/computers to use. The guy was polite though. He asked if we were students so that wed get student discount ($1). But if they want us all to purchase tickets online, they should just say so, so that we can avoid being late to the movie. Theater looks old. Half of the electrical stairs are not working. Awful. Thankfully, the elevators work, but they are not easy to find. It was also a small theater room for a movie that had recently come out (Beatriz at dinner). The room was full and the only seats available were in the first row. Awful. The parking elevator (next to the theater had a huge live cockroach. Gross.

We went to see the movie the Judge. Daytime show and accidentally lost my money clip and $78- attached and a lottery ticket. Didnt realize till I got home. Called the theater and asked to speak to a manager and asked if by chance anyone turned in my money especially the clip and these guys are honest. This manager asked me to come by and ask for him. He wouldnt take a gratuity or for his employee said the company takes care of them Im just lucky they are honest and he says they really screen their employees.

Over Priced FOOD POPCORN DRINKS , I mostly watch Bollywood movies , as INDIANS from India are so loud they clap and whistle during the movie I guess may be its okay in their culture and country but not here they ruin the movie for everyone by being so loud . I went twice to management to come and tell this INDIANS not to shout or clap or whistle or use their phone during the movie so that we can enjoy our movie but yeah no one from the staff came to calm this INDIANS down .

Be careful of the teenagers working the ticket booth. I got double charged one time (my $25 movie date turned into $50). The second time I went on a Thursday and specified that I wanted the student discount, he asked for my ID, I showed it to him, yet I still got charged the full $13 for the tickets. Now I know to check the receipt and be very clear about what I want. Go to the hazard center ultra star instead.
