We rarely go to theaters so I was very pleased to have a good experience. The movie we saw has been out a bit and Drew a small crowd, so the theater it was shown in was very small. But the screen and sound were still very nice. I loved the options at the concession, from the coffee bar to the great seasoning options for the popcorn. The theater was clean and everyone was friendly too. Helpful hint: park in the parking garage and tell the attendant you are going to the theater. They give you a voucher to get your parking fees back when purchase movie tickets.

Great little cinema with an eclectic variety of movies not usually found in the bigger chains. The actual theaters are a bit cozy, but well kept with comfortable seats, and nicely sloped so the viewing angle is good regardless of that tall person in the row just ahead of you. Good popcorn, and the coffee shop inside (diff mgmt) serves a lovely mocha mint and sometimes the barrista will draw a design in the foam. Overall, Osio is my preferred movie experience in Monterey.

I have been going to this theater since 2004. Last Saturday (07/08/2017), I stopped by around 7.20 pm and the clerk was so rude . I am a DLI instructor and we always get a military discount there. She denied that and told me that this was always their policy-military discount only for active duty and not for DLI teachers! She checked my military card and told me no military discount.I asked to see the manger,. her I will never come back, she did not care!!!

Good theaters, exceptional selections, and among the best, or simply the best - lobby experience of any of our local theaters really. Think of waiting around any of the big box multiplexes vs this quaint lobby with a real coffee & pastry shop, real seats, not hard plastic ones and theres no comparison, unless you like being in a space a 30 -40 ceiling a video arcade ambience. Its a great place for your night out and in a fantastic setting

This is a great place to enjoy a movie. Theyve got a nice little coffee shop included and they do lightweight food and beer. You can take the refreshments into the theater, which is nice. They generally show high quality movies. Its not your high power modern cinema behemoth, but its has an intimacy missing from many theaters these days. Support them.

Lovely selection of indie films in this local theatre. I love how they were giving out free tickets for Christmas films in the week leading up to the Christmas weekend. The seats were a little creaky but still fairly comfortable. This is a place to go to if youre wanting to do something at night in Monterey!

Excellent selection of movies for those seeking artistic entertainment or alternatives to Hollywood hype movies. Coffee bar in lobby is not same management, so dont expect them to rush so you can get into movie quickly. They do have great food, however, and internet access.

Popped in while visiting Monterey on vacation. Its a neat little theater with a great selection of films and good concessions including popcorn with unique seasonings. Also has a cute little cafe attached with a myriad assortment of bake goods and full service kitchen.

Great choices of independent and foreign films. On the negative side, some of the theaters are small and cramped and the sound level is at times at both extremes. The popcorn is too heavily salted to the point your lips burn after a few handfuls.

Great, locally owned place with a really nice coffee shop (that has non-movie-going customers as well) and a unique popcorn bar with a large lineup of seasonings. Tends to feature the best of smaller / independent films.

Great Independent Theater! My wife and I contributed to the reopening of this theater and encourage others to help. However, since my initial review, I have to say that the customer service has diminished greatly.

I love the Osio. I am excited that it has opened again. However, I hate the new system of numbered seats. It doesnt make any sense, and it is very difficult to find your seat in the dark.

This entertainment cinema has a great cafe inside. The concessions are cheaper than the average Regal Cinema. Independent films shown here are enriching cultural experiences.

I practically live at the Osio. I recently discovered the powdered sharp, aged cheddar to dust the already delicious popcorn. Im so glad the Osio is my neighbor.

One of my favorite theaters! You pick your seat and the theater isnt super well attended so its a bit more quiet. Plus they serve beer!
