We grew up there, me and my rescue dog. We were both afraid of people and men and she was afraid of kids. She passed in 2001 and before many of our neigbors passed or moved away they donated a tree to the city and it was planted in the park in her memory. I would like to know how the tree is doing and place a flower for her because she made me feel like a mom. Dont tell my M-I-L or Nanny because we got them trees this year. My dear friend J took a huge teddy bear my old dog took out to the park to say goodbye before the day she decided to die, and her ashes are in it under a red felt heart edged with lace and tiny beads and love. I move it with wherever we go. I said I grew up there and I was an adult. Some people made all the difference. When my dog was gone the kids didnt yell out her name anymore, only said a polite hello to me. They loved each other. She loved the kids. I rescued a dog and myself at that park.

Great community park tucked away in a residential area! We went here for the last 3 years and its quieter than other local playgrounds (Doyle and Nobel rec centers) but usually has a couple families there at all times. The playground area is small but has a couple slides, a tower, swings and a separate toddler area. Because of the ample green space we often see older kids practicing soccer, softball, etc with their parents which is one of the reason we loved this park - you have all ages here. Infants crawling in the sand, kids on the playground, teens practicing sports, and local retirees walking their dogs. No public restrooms, but they do have a drinking fountain.

Nice place to hang out while I waited laying down on the grass, NOT while on my phone. I just rested there. People were wandering around, parents wih kids at he parj, but they didnt judge me. Its a little like the park in downtown sf., where people an just lay down....except ut*s a playground type park. In a suburb type neighborhood.

Tiny playground, more of a dog park. Lots of illegally off leash dogs, too. Lots of nice huge trees, but none near the playground, so no real shade.

A well maintained park, with a playground for children and a large grass area well suited for pickup sports games.

Great green space for the neighborhood. Dog and kid friendly, too! Its a peaceful retreat.
