I WOULD GIVE IT 5 STARS BUT IM A LITTLE BUMMED THE OWNER DECIDED TO CHARGE $2.00 JUST TO UPGRADE TO A SMALL POPCORN(WHEN USING THE COUPON FOR FREE POPCORN WITH PURCHASE OF A DRINK); AS IT WAS ONLY $1.00 FOREVER! THEY TEND TO GIVE BETTER SERVICE AT THE CONCESSION STAND THAN ANY OTHER MOVIE THEATRE IVE EVER BEEN TO, AND THATS ALOT SINCE I WAS A TEENAGER TO NOW! THEIR BIGGER THEATRES LIKE 1 AND 2 ARE GREAT BUT SOME OF THE THEATRES I DONT CARE FOR AND SOMETIMES WILL REFUSE TO BUY A TICKET IF THE MOVIE IS ONLY THERE, SUCH AS THEATRE 13. SOME OF THOSE ONLY HOLD LIKE 100 PEOPLE OR SO? ITS LIKE BEING IN A BIG LIVING ROOM. THE KIDS ARE FOR THE MOST PART VERY FRIENDLY AND SOME TEND TO STAY QUITE SOME TIME AND THEY CHURN ALOT OF OTHERS; PRETTY HIGH TURN OVER IT SEEMS? COMPARED TO ALL OTHER MOVIE THEATRES IT REALLY IS A GREAT VALUE AND I COULD EASILY GIVE IT A 5 STAR RATING. BE SURE TO ASK FOR THEIR FREQUENT MOVIE GOER CARD.

Ive been frequently visiting Cinema City for years. The seats are comfortable and the theaters are creatively decorated, maybe a little tired. The lobby and restrooms are appointed with beautiful marble, are spacious and often decorated for the seasons. Cinema City offers matinee pricing, and Sunday, Monday & Tuesday are currently $5 all day. These prices make it more feasible for families on a budget to enjoy a movie together! They also offer more than the basic popcorn at the snack stand. Great selection of flavored popcorn, including caramel and chocolate covered popcorn from Popcornopolis, and a large frozen treat selection. Not many choices for diabetics though. An unique feature at Cinema City is they offer, on select Wednesdays, Classic Movies on the big screen. Its a great way to experience old favorites with the family or friends in a theatrical setting.

On one occasion as I was leaving a showing of a childrens movie 2 of the employees who were waiting to clean the theatre were talking about smoking pot and the hot chick they had laid the night before. Hardly something that should happen outside any movie let alone a kids movie. Fast forward to this last time someone is talking the first 10 minutes of the movie i finnally tell him to be quiet or leave the movie. He then stands up and threatens me so i go get the manager and security and they let this obviously unstable person who is threatening other patrons to return to his seat right behind me so the whole moving im sitting in my seat tensed up waiting for this maniac to attack me. Very poor judgement on the part of the manager who obviously doesnt understand liability. I wont be back again.

Management needs to enforce the policy that you can only save one seat in addition to the one you are sitting in. Okay, sometimes you have to save two seats -- it happens. But when it was pointed out to them that five and six seats in a row were being saved for an opening day movie/full theater, security and ushers/supervisors just stood there looking at one another -- they didnt know the policy and if they did, didnt want to do their job to enforce it. I guess the solution is just to take those saved seats and then they can play referee between guests!?

Staff gives inaccurate descriptions of house seating, the popcorn is good which is typical for a Starlight Cinema, most of the staff is friendly depending on how long theyve been working that day. Dont park in the parking structure, their security will constantly bug you saying people are complaining that youre waiting on a car and assume youre doing illegal activity. Actually refunded my tickets because of it. They need to learn some respect here. Whittier Starlight Cinema is so much better. Did I mention is smells really bad here?

The audio was very bad when I watched "get out" in theatre number 6. There were also kids who were very disruptful which the employees could have done a better job than check their tickets. After the third time and having 2 people complaining they had fixed the sound. At the end I ended up receiving compensation for the movie by getting free tickets for my next movie but still I had hoped I could have watched the entire movie without there being disruptions and bad audio quality.

Somewhat reluctant to leave a review as this may be the best movie house in OC and I dont want it to get crowded. Clean theaters, good seats, great digital screens, decent vending. Very low priced for matinees as well. And, get this, they actually have more than one person working there. There is actually a staff at the ready to clean up. Sort of a throwback in that regard. They also show a classic film every other Wednesday night.

Amazing price for first showing movies! The theater has friendly staff that keeps the theater fresh and clean. The seating is great with high back, roomy ,cushy seats that lean back, almost like being at home.(the center armrest lifts too, so you can sit a little closer if you wish) Parking may be a challenge so allow enough time....Plus side, you will find a small 4 tier parking garage at the far end of the building.

Used to love this theater but... the ticket machines are always out of commission forcing you to wait in long lines with the 2 employees working the counter. Also now you have to pick your seat which I feel is really frustrating and stupid. Plus it takes forever to get your tickets because you have to make this selection. Also prices have gone up and the new rewards program is horrible

Great place and staff. We go to all our movies here. But the parking has been under construction for soooooooo long. It would be nice if they let their customers in on what is the plan. What are they doing? Now they are constructing a building. What is it? How long will it take. People would like to know. I think they should put up a big poster out front that explains.

Never coming back to this place ever again. Dont bother getting popcorn or a drink cause youll more than likely walk out due to people being loud and having conversations during the movie. This has happened on more than one occasion, and now after the 4th time, Im done. Dont bother coming here, the people this place attracts are loud and rude. Go to real theatre.

It would be better if it was a little larger and had more movies to watch, AND STOP MAKING THE DRINKS SSMMAALLEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Otherwise okay. Also they would get alot more money if they change the price from Tuesday, When people are working and in school, to Saturday when people are actually free, and would get alot more clients than on Tuesday.

One of the top theaters around, and for good reason! The ticket prices are cheap, the theaters are clean, and the staff is friendly. The prices at the concession stand is also reasonably priced. If youre getting popcorn, be sure to take advantage of the flavored powders to put on your popcorn. Youll want to keep coming back, if only for the popcorn.

Nice people. The shows are scheduled too close together. I cant remember the last time I had to wait outside the theater in the hallway 20 minutes before the scheduled show. Ended up standing in line for 10 minutes popcorn and awkward sized soda in hand. The bathrooms are disgustingly old, dirty, not maintained, and unattended. Popcorn was good.
