First off, I had no idea that you could find a view this beautiful in Elgin of all places. The food is fantastic and is refreshingly based on Louisiana/creole cuisine, rather than American, Italian or Mexican like most of the places in the surrounding area. The cocktails are fine, the wine selection is deep and the beer selection is varied, but not as much as youd find at say EPH. Have not golfed here yet, but after seeing the view, definitely going to make plans to do so before the end of summer.

An overall nice golf course with a challenging layout. The club house is very nice and the pro shop staff is on par. The range area is plush with grass and synthetic grass. The day I visited I was able to hit off the grass with a large bucket. The large bucket is more like a medium sized bucket in comparison. I had an enjoyable day on the course and had no issues.

Course can eclipse 7200 yards. New addition is great. Practice area can be utilized for several hours while using only two tokens. Grumpy Goat is one of the better golf bars in the area. Great selection of beer and food. Course is great for 15 handicaps and lower

Great layout, beautiful scenery. Unfortunately, the pro staff werent much help when asking for advice on the course (playing a practice round for an upcoming event) but the starter was very friendly and helpful!

Greens poorly kept and the staff will argue with you, instead of making correcting the situation. Expect about 6 hours to play a round of golf. Many seniors and non golfers.

Beautiful and challenging layout, great restaurant (Grumpy Goat), wonderful youth golf program!! You would never think this is a municipal course. LOVE this place!

Unwelcoming to resturant even though published as open to the public. We felt very uncomfortable and looked down upon. We left as quickly as we arrived.
