Took my son and his family while they were visiting from Florida. They had been to several escape rooms in Florida; this was my first time at one. We had a lot of fun, and we did solve the puzzles and escaped with about 10 minutes to spare! My only "complaint" was that the room, which was supposed to be a "cabin," just looked like a room. In Florida, the rooms the kids had been in looked authentic (for the same price we paid here in Roanoke) -- they described one that was a ships cabin, and it was made of wooden sides, floor, etc. Im sure as Deciphered Roanoke grows, we can expect more elaborate sets here in Roanoke, too.

In town touring Roanoke College for our older daughter and decided to try our first escape room. Little did we realize, the proprietors were recent RC grads. Brandon and Ben were fabulous hosts for our adventure--knowledgeable and encouraging. The facility was clean and well organized. The puzzles were challenging and engagiyng. Although our family of 4 wasnt able to solve the room in the allotted hour, we were very close. A good time was had by all. We look forward to our next escape room adventure and hope the escape rooms close to our hometown are as well-managed as Deciphered Roanoke. Thanks for a great experience!

We took a group of four 12 year old boys (and 2 adults) this week. We were celebrating a birthday and it was a perfect choice for this group. They were slightly apprehensive about the idea of having to escape from a locked room, but Ben put those fears to rest. The rooms are not locked. The escape was challenging and definitely took everyone working together to sort out (including a hint from Ben- thanks Ben!) but the excitement and sense of team accomplishment when we "escaped" was the BEST. Thanks Deciphered Roanoke for a great birthday experience!

I had a great time at Deciphered Roanoke. It was fun and very challenging. When we got there, we thought there would be a list of clues for us to follow. We were wrong. We were given the scenario by the staff, locked in the room, and had to hunt for the clues and figure them out as we went along by ourselves. One hour later, we were stuck and apparently died in the room from lack of oxygen, but we died happy. All and all, I absolutely recommend Deciphered to everyone I meet. Hope to see you there.

This was the only thing my husband wanted to do for his birthday, and it didnt disappoint! We had so much fun and the room, clues, and hiding spots were so unique. Looooved the magnetic locked desk! Also, one of our friends wound up getting sick and couldnt make it; they didnt make them pay for the ticket since they couldnt be there. Great business and company and we will definitely be coming back to try another room soon!

I found this business to be one of the most unique things that our family has done together in quite a while. In an age of hectic family life styles, smart phones glued to our kids hands and sports schedules it was great to have something that sets all of that aside and actually brought us together to talk and work through a challenge as a family. We are looking forward to returning to conquer a second room .

Our group of 6 had a total blast at Deciphered! We were in the "Few Morsels" escape room - and solved it! The hosts were friendly and helpful; the puzzle was challenging and fun; the facility very nice and conveniently located downtown. We wil definately be back. I had to change the original date that we booked and the staff was very kind and flexible with helping us arrange for a different day.

My husband and I tried the room called "A Few Morsels". We unfortunately didnt make it out in time (so close!) but we had a blast! The staff was so friendly and encouraged us when they could tell we got stuck. The story was very immersive and definitely made you think! We will be returning to try the other rooms! Hopefully with some friends to help us out next time :)

The staff was friendly and helpful and the experience was creative and fun. It was the perfect team building experience for my group of college students. We were challenged and learned new things about one another as we worked and laughed together. I would recommend this without hesitation and look forward to trying out new experiences!

Ben, Brandon, and the Deciphered staff did an outstanding job helping me design a one-of-a-kind proposal for my fiancée. We were a little too distracted to complete our room after I popped the question, but were looking forward to coming back again and again and hopefully completing a few of their challenging rooms. The staff was super friendly and attentive, the room seemed very easy for being one of the more difficult ones. Also would like clues in more places rather than using one prop for the majority of clues. Also, since Halloween is nearing itd be nice to have one with a scary theme . The whole family had a good time and would go again.

We booked a private room online and the team at Deciphered Roanoke was ready for our arrival. After a short intro, we started our Escape Room adventure. The room was very well designed and a fun challenge. I highly recommend you try Deciphered Roanoke for a fun family event or a company team building event.

I cant speak highly enough of Deciphered! The rooms are fun and challenging and the entire experience was a blast! I went once with a large group of co-workers for a team building night and once with friends- both nights were amazing! We will be back to try each and every new room they release!

This was a wonderful, exciting, and fun experience for my friends and I. We have done other escape rooms and this is one of the best!! Cant wait until we go back for the other rooms we havent done. The personnel are very friendly, helpful and fun people. Loved every minute of it!!

Had a blast! Our group was mostly my college age kids and one teenager. Everyone was able to contribute to solving our escape! Tough and challenging but solvable! The only thing I would like to see would be more realistic props for the theme! Great time and the staff was fantastic!

This was a great experience! The guys at Deciphered were all friendly and helpful. The room we selected was an excellent puzzle, and even though we didnt solve it we thoroughly enjoyed it. This was our first escape room experience, but we will definitely be back for more!

Just booked a private event with Deciphered Roanoke and it was awesome. The rooms were challenging and had a great story line. Also, the staff were very nice and accommodating to our group of 12. I definitely will be going back to escape another room.

My daughter and five friends took on the Our Last Breath mission. The staff was super helpful for those who had never had this experience before. Although they didnt escape they had a great time! Would highly recommend this for kids and adults alike.

This place is so much fun!!! I went in a group of 6 and we had so much fun. We built new friendships and made other friendships stronger from the experience!!! We cant wait to go back and try out the other room and go back for their new rooms!!!
