I love when a city shows off it natural settings! This Riverwalk is a little on the short side but it has well established sidewalks for large crowds if need be and is well manicured lawns. There were workers out there keeping the grass cut and clean. Theres a park on for kids on the west end and as you move east there is a steps for an amphitheater type seating. Then at the very end on the east side, there is a bridge crossing over into down town and will lead you to 1 Public Square which is where they hold the Farmers Market every Saturday in the summer and autumn. From there you can get connected to some shops and restaurants. Its fun watching the people ride their boats and seeing the barges pass on the river. This is a nice place for leisurely walk to shoot the breeze or for a quick jog with some beautiful scenery.

Trying to get in shape?? Park at the "Spur Line Park" off Union St. in the Dog Hill district. Disregard the tiny park and get on the sidewalk, take an immediate RIGHT (left is a dead-end) on the paved path to get on "upland trail" follow it down across two pedestrian bridges to the confluence of the Cumberland and Red Rivers at the end of the River Walk. Its down hill there and up hill on the way back. The grade isnt too steep and its about 2.6 miles round trip with about 10 flights of stairs.

Equipped with a playground, amphitheater, boat access ramp and roughly 2 miles of walking paths, this is a great place to bring the kids, walk the dog, or relax with a yoga mat. Pokemon spawn here like crazy if you still care about destination-based apps. There is adequate parking under the rows of international flags standing proudly along Riverside Drive.

Gorgeous walking/riding path with bike rentals. The path isnt smooth enough to skate on, but stil a nice place to ride, walk, or run. The playground is fun, and there are a few shade trees around for parents. I love all the picnic tables and swinging benches. Also great that there are restaurants within walking distance !

McGregor Park and the riverwalk is a great place to wind down after a day of work at the office. The walking trails are wide and there is plenty of playground equipment by the main pavillion. It also helps that Burger King, Wendys and O Charlies are in close proximity so you can get a nice meal and then go for a walk.

We were here visiting family and went to the park to see the Christmas Lights. It was a very nice walk on the river. The lights were beautiful. The kids loved it. They especially loved playing on the playground at night. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place to go see Christmas Lights.

Truly enjoy walking on the Riverwalk. Very nice views of the river and grounds are always well manicured. Restroom facilities available and with Porta Johns positioned throughout the walk. Pavilion is available for rent. Outdoor stage area also available -perfect for weddings or parties.

Nice area to take a walk and catch pokemon if you are into that. There are fishing spots along the walk and a boat launch area. Restrooms and a kids park are available. Its unfortunate that all the ugly businesses are clearly visible from the walking path, but the ruver is nice to look at.

Its a lovely park but it is always so crowded and almost impossible to find parking. Please figure out additional parking so I can come here with my dog more often without having to deal with angry people who are all just trying to park somewhere!

Usually quiet place along the river to take a walk and enjoy a really good juxtaposition between the city and the river. If it is busy, parking is a nightmare; and there can be very little shade at certain times of day.
