My fiance and I had often talked about camping here to reminisce 38 years ago.IT was a K.O.A. campground back then. Each others first love,we sat there talking about our future.being so young and I was about to be taken with my brother and be moved into a Childrens Christian Home.Through out the years we remained close friends We were reunited a couple years now .A few weeks ago ( June 3,2016) we called to make a reservation to stay..we didnt get anyone to answer the phone .we loaded up and took a chance .Our experience there was short but yet felt that he was very overbearing on rules.she seemed nice as I paid for our stay. The place was almost same as we remembered.more trees added and some been taken out.It was peaceful and well kept.Except the bathrooms had not been cleaned in the 3 days we stayed there. I will start from begining to tell you about our stay. Our trailer brake was on and caused our tires to slide in gravel. He immediately jumped us.He preceded to make us aware about the big rock at the entrance. He seemed to laugh about how ppl dont drive well and hit this causing damage to their R V.We had a troy hauler and we unloaded our can-am spyder .As we begun sitting up camp,we had the motorcycle parked in the grass. He ordered us to move it off the grass. My brother then calls and asks to visit.I tell him what campsite we are at.He was chased down and rudely asked what he was doing and not stopping in at the office. He was also told that if he stayed one minute after 9pm he would have to pay to camp all night. .............MY OH MY .........I didnt let the Manager interfere with our reminiscing .....I will say though I will not be back to stay there under that management.

We rolled into this campground at around 11 p.m. with a problem on our truck. We woke up the owner out of bed. From the beginning, he encouraged us that it probably wasnt a serious problem with our truck. He guided our truck and trailer into the park space and we were able to relax for the first time in about 24 hours. The story here is long, but I will tell you this: these people are a joy to this world. They went far beyond a business relationship. The next morning, they brought us fresh eggs for breakfast since they suspected we were without food. True. Secondly, they offered a ride to town for groceries since our vehicle was out of commission. And then the story gets more amazing. After we got the diagnosis on the broken truck (head gasket possibly, but maybe a full engine) plus a two week repair time, we decided it was time to look around for a truck. Anthony spent a whole day of his time taking my husband to the Ford dealership and negotiated a super deal for my husband and me. We had no idea of the amazing deal until we got back to our home state. He saved us $5000. These people showered us with love and kindness from the very beginning. They are awesome Christians who walk the walk. God blessed us by leading us to this place. We enjoyed the serenity of this rv park, the cleanliness of the facility, the showers, the laundry room, and the wonderful greenery, It was a total blessing to be showered with such love. May the Lord bless this couple and keep them healthy and safe. I thank the Lord for steering us into this park. We will be back.

I have stayed here three times and will continue to return. The hosts are gracious and welcoming and the rates are reasonable. The park is in a tranquil setting with lush grass, mature trees and a sizeable pond. Very convenient to I-70 and neighboring communities with groceries, fuel and restaurants, yet secluded and private. Because the pads are gravel, conditions can be soggy and muddy during hard rains and leveling devices are needed on some sites. The restrooms are dated, but clean. Water pressure is a tad low, and my wife has mentioned insects in the ladies room during each visit. Im told a grand remodeling plan is unfolding and I look forward to coming back again and seeing the improvements. On a warm summer night, be sure to check out the lightning bug display on the West side of the pond!

The current owners have had it for a few years and they have made improvements; however, it still has a long way to go. It certainly is shady, and the porch swings around the pond are a nice touch. The water is extremely rusty though, it clogged up our water filter by the second day. The full hookup spots are narrow and dont have fire rings, and they have a major drainage problem, so it was boggy and swampy the whole week we were there. Its also hard to get in touch with anyone there - we had to call 5 times over 3 days to get a hold of someone to make a reservation! Its not a bad place, but not our first choice either.

Found this to be a very quiet campground located close to the interstate. Easy in-and-out. New owners are taking great pride in the grounds and making nice improvements. Restrooms and showers clean. Enjoyed our stay. Not at all like some of the older reviews when under prior ownership. Would definitely stop again if/when passing through the area.

This is a beautiful park. There is a lot of ground to explore. Probably not best for kids unless they can entertain themselves by wandering around in nature. We only stopped for the night but it was a nice rest. Hookups are not the best placed, but overnight you might not need them all.

Very easy on and off for a quick night stay. Its tucked in a very nice wooded area, very clean and quite. Very helpful if you come in after dark big site easy hookup. We will add it to our list of stops. Better yet its a good SAMs campground with other discounts available.

Very nice, quite, and clean. We go there every year, several times a year for Sportbike Track Time events at Putnam. Cheaper and better than the hotels near by. Plenty of room for huge RVs with electric hook up.

It is very convenient to the interstate. Quiet place. The owners were very very helpful. Our electric in the rig would not work so they lent us a heater for the night.

Nice setting, very quiet for peaceful sleeping. Only neg is no 50amp hookup. At least the office sells these adapters for a modest fee. Our rate was 30 for the night.
