Have played this course at least once a week since the mid 90s. Is rarely in bad shape, it has tight, tree line fairways and smallish greens. Most greens have some slope and undulations but overall they are fair. The greens from May until October they are usually on the slower side, the remaining months they usually have good speed. 95% of all the sand traps that were reworked in 2015 and are now in very good shape, a great improvement, along with added cart paths for those who use riding carts. Many trees have been removed over the past few years, helping to open up the course and speed play. My only wish is that they could find a way to keep decent speed in the greens from late spring through the end of summer. The staff are professional and courteous and its always enjoyable to have an after round beverage and food at the Caddy Shack Restaurant. Overall its likely the best maintained public course in the Harrisburg area.

Nice course layout. Alot of divots needed repair everywhere. Was charged $33 for 18 holes while other people behind me paid <$30. Not sure what was up with that. Was asked why i wasnt wearing a golf shirt. A guy paid behind me wasnt asked even though he had a t shirt on. Probably wont go back even though its a decent course.

Please make sure you drive around in the parking lot and try the brakes to see if they are good or bad. Two different times the carts failed in the past year with my foursome. They say they are in good shape and checked. BUT THEY ARE NOT! Failure. And the staff shows no consideration when the accidents happen.

I played here before the city took it over and it was terrible. Now I make sure I play here every time I`m in town, The course is in fantastic shape and I love the layout. The staff has always been friendly and finishing your round at Caddie Shack is tops on my list.

This review is for their adult golf clinic. Scott and Mark are great teachers and its an awesome setting for beginners. I also started taking private lessons with Scott- he is a great teacher!

Great course conditions, interesting layout. Youll need to control your tee shots here. Greens are tricky, but fair. More elevation changes than you would expect.

The first holes fairway was a swamp. The staff wasnt very friendly either. They also put governors on the golf carts which takes away from your fun a little bit.

I like the golf course. Close to home, good food and drink. We used to collect beer cans there at the beer- can- grave- yard, when we were kids back in the 70s.

Very nice public course with great views. Fairways greens and tee boxes were in great shape for the traffic they receive. Also great place to eat.

Great course! It is always well maintained. It can be busy at times. It is a short challenging course with no water.
