I recently attended the Jimmy Buffett concert here. For the shows Ive attended there doesnt seem to be any type of consistency concerning parking. Some shows Ive been to have charged, some, not. Its not a matter of who is performing though, because some Jimmy shows Ive been to have charged, some not. With this in mind we pulled into the parking line with 5 vehicles, mine being the last. When we were within a few vehicles of entering I could see that they WERE charging this time. Immediately my friend and I started getting money together for payment. Unfortunately, we only had $9.00 in bills, but I always have quarters on hand so I quickly got $6.00 in quarters together for the full amount. I started to hand the money to the attendant, but he stopped me, saying that he couldnt take quarters. ??? "I just cant", he said. We asked him why not and he replied that he had nowhere to put them as he opened, then quickly closed, the lid on a tupperware container approx. 15"x 10"x 8" that he was stacking the bills on. We then asked to see his manager and he replied that that would be his parents and then called his father over. His father also said that they couldnt without giving a reasonable answer. He then asked, "Dont you have any friends here that could give you bills to use?" We replied, "Sure, but since we were the last in our little convoy, theyve already passed through". And, since he held us up by not taking our money we wouldnt be able to even park at our tailgate party. Then he made a wisecrack saying, "Are you telling me that with everyone in your van, you dont have $15.00 in bills?" Since 4 of the 6 were 11 or younger and surprisingly dont have jobs, I said, "Thats correct!" He then told us that we had to pull over and park and that I would have to WALK to where ever??......the rest of our party was parked and get the bills. I parked, started walking, but asked the first people I came to. I got the bills, walked back, THRUST them into his hand, and since there were 15 of them he dropped a few and then yelled at me for throwing them at him. If the Independent Country of First Niagra Pavilion has deemed that they will accept U.S. bills, but not U. S. coin, perhaps this should be posted somewhere, at least until they can issue their own currency? Once this happens, will we then need a passport, also??? With this welcoming committee I am cerainly not in any hurry to return to this venue.

Do yourself a favor and just dont go. Parking/Arrival: We arrived about an hour before the show and waited in a line of cars that was about two-miles long. Once we parked we assumed things would move smoothly. Man, were we wrong. Entry into Venue: We faced a massive line of people trying to enter the venue. The line ran four people across and stretched almost a mile back. People were fed up with waiting and starting taking to the road, event staff gave up on trying to control the crowd and eventually called for backup. After having the cops show up (who were also extremely flustered in trying to manage the crowd), people were corralled back into the mile long line. We waited nearly forty-five minutes to receive entry into the park and missed one of the opening acts. Food/Drink: They ran out of food after the first opening act. I could not believe they ran out of food before the main artist took the stage! I mean really, what venue runs out of food? The price of beer is also outrageous in this venue. If you want to buy one in the venue expect to pay about $12.50-to-$17. Show: The only positive thing about the venue was the actual show. We saw Luke Bryan and he was awesome, but that has nothing to do with first niagara. It has to do with the fact that Luke Bryan is a great entertainer. Leaving/Exit: Leaving the show is ridiculous. Sitting in a standstill for nearly 20 minutes, not even moving an inch, someone created a secret exit. If it wasnt for that secret exit, we would have sat in that parking lot for hours. Can you imagine sitting in a parking lot for 20 minutes and not even moving an inch? Event staff needs to learn how to create a flow of traffic out of that venue, but once again I dont think they care about their jobs or getting people out of the parking lot. Overall I am in disbelief that this place is still around. I have been to a lot of concerts and have never had to face such disorganization before. Who ever is the event director/planner should be fired. Additions should be made to the park such as new parking lots, new entrances/exits. Maybe create a parking lot further down the road and bus people to and from the venue. Something needs to be done to make this place run smoother. I am never going back to this venue. It is not worth my time or money, no matter who is playing.

Even though I have enjoyed shows at this location since it opened, Im seriously considering not returning in the future since this venue has gone so far downhill. They still havent paved the general parking so you are walking on loose stones and I slid a few times. And they still only provide port a potties in the parking lot. You are better off going to the bathroom in woods, which everyone does anyways. The line to get into the amphitheater took forever to go through because females had to go to a separate line which took 3 times as long as the male line. They never separated sexes before and there was never a back up like that! Plus, the security guard made me toss my half drank bottle of water because it was opened. We even called the venue before arriving (as their website stated) to find out what was allowed and what wasnt. All they mentioned about water was bottle water was allowed but they never said anything about it having to be an UNOPENED bottle of water. And the unopened bottles of water were opened by the security guards and poured into paper cups so that made the entry line move even slower! So when I eventually got inside, I had to buy water because it was so hot outside. And a cup of water without a lid was $4.50 ($11 for a cup of beer)!!!! The line to the bathrooms moved at a decent speed but once inside, the bathrooms were dingy. And the toilet I had continually flushed so my butt got soaked - disgusting!! We had seat tickets and most of the seats are good. By the end of the show, the venue was trashed....there were cups everywhere. I barely saw any trash cans (and the ones I saw were stuffed full). And the parking lot was pretty much a free for all leaving. So the next time a performer tours that I want to see, I think I may skip coming here again and see them somewhere else. Pros: Located outside of Pittsburgh so it is easier to get to, most of the seat tickets have a good view of the stage Cons: No good bathroom facilities (parking lot or inside), getting into the venue was a hassle and took forever, the prices were outrageous!
