I love the Moore Theater, and give it a 5 as a venue. However, I give a woman at the ticket office last night a -5 for the rude, unkind, unhelpful way she treated me when I told her I left my purse in my car on Bainbridge Island, which had my tickets in it. I showed her my receipt for tickets on my phone and I had the credit card with me through which I purchased the tickets. She asked if I had picture ID and when I said no, she said I was SOL, she would not replace my tickets and that was that. I told her I had brought my daughter and a friend, I had the receipt from STG on my phone, my husband could fax a picture ID. She looked me in the eyes and said I couldnt come in, they would not replace the tickets. I can not say how shocked I was. It felt like a punch in my stomach. I am sure that there would have been a way to handle someone like me in this kind of situation, but she was not interested in helping in any way. That kind of treatment from a venue is harsh and unnecessary. It was cold and I went away feeling basically like I didnt matter. I felt like knocking on the back door and letting Patti Smith know, as I am sure she would not have appreciated the staff at the Moore treating one of the people this way. I remember being on the Joe Cocker Mad Dogs and Englishmen Tour and how it feels to be one of the "important people" at a show. Everyone needs to be treated as "important people" regardless of whether you are the star, the staff or the customer.

Good venue, horrible staff. Ive seen a few different shows at The Moore. Franz Ferdinand and Dream Theater, just to name a couple. Its a beautiful old theater that has been well maintained, and the seating is arranged so that you get a pretty good view of the stage no matter where you are. However, every time I go to the Moore, the staff there is rude, pushy, and condescending. They act like its an inconvenience to have people in their venue -- like the patrons are intruding or something. In my opinion, if I pay $30 - $60 for a concert ticket, Id like my entire experience to be a pleasant one, not just the music. So a message to the staff at the Moore: stop yelling at people, stop kicking people out of the theater, and just chill and enjoy the music.

The Moore theatre concert was Awesome! But the area around it was not the best....the parking was very expensive $33 for the evening and you better have a compact vehicle if you plan on parking anywhere near the theatre. Not to mention the fact that there was garbage, needles, and junkies everywhere! I got to witness 2 people urinating on the side of the building I was parked at (rt across the St from the theatre) we just wish the experience on the outside of the venue was as nice as the inside...we probably wont ever watch another show at the Moore theatre because of the area around it....our concert tickets cost over $200 each and getting harassed by junkies trying to wait to get in and after the show basically ruined everything.....

The WORST theater experience EVER! I ordered tickets a week ago through the Seattle Theater Group (STG). Their phone system did not offer Will Call as an option and defaulted to regular mail. With one day to go I still have no tickets, so I called the theaters phone number for resolving ticket problems. I was on hold for 2 hours and 20 minutes and was continually told through a recording how important my call was. When I finally chose the option to leave a message, instead of getting voice mail, I got a busy signal. NEVER, EVER AGAIN will I do business with organizations as incompetent as STG and The Moore Theater.

Definitely an interesting space. Upper balcony section was very steep and cramped. We saw Brandi Carliles pindrop show, meaning no sound amplification of any kind. The acoustics were pretty bad. It was very hard to even hear the performer. Some people just got up and left. At some point, Brandi walked into the audience on the main floor at which point you had the weird experience of being at a concert where you can neither see nor really hear the artist... Ill have no problem going to another concert here, but will be more selective about seat choices. No more upper balcony at the Moore for me.

The seats are very antiquated, uncomfortable and cant get in or out easy so sit on the end. No AC, not even a fan and with a sold-out show be prepared to sweat a lot with general admission tickets even in the winter time. If your a smoker they will not let you out once you have gone in for an hour and 45 minutes if they decide to allow you to go out at all. You have to keep checking to see if they will allow you to go outside. Waiting in a long line for drinks I hope you dont want any cold water . Would not go there again.

An old and historic theater thats been fixed up a few times in the past 40 years, but really needs to be totally renovated. The acoustics are okay, but the seats are old and uncomfortable, there arent enough bathrooms, the stairs are a bit dangerous, etc. Overall, its not the geatest of places in which to attend a concert, but there is always a totally full agenda of shows and concerts here throughout the year.

Was not let in because I was carrying poi in my backpack. I had no intention of spinning them or turning them on and informed management that they would remain in my bag. He was very rude about it and his staff just shrugged along. I realize venues can have a problems with flow art props but no venue has ever treated me so hostally. Very upsetting, on principle I will not be seeing shows at this venue.

The venue itself is great - a lovely early-20th century theatre, with period decor. However, they insist on an airport style security check before entering the venue (seriously, I have to take off my jacket outside, in Seattle, in November?) and have implemented a system whereby you can only take drinks into the venue in their $10 cup. Rip off. And they dont even have decent beer at the bar.

FYI - take a flashlight with you!! I was at the KANSAS concert Saturday night, not drinking at all; tried to go downstairs (second balcony) in the pitch dark, no stair lights AND NO HANDRAIL. Anyway, I fell down the stairs, hit the 3 foot wall at the bottom and BROKE MY ARM!!!! Just beware. The music was great, but the experience was horrible (and still is!).

A great, imtimate venue for music - seated or GA. Prefer acoustics here much more than the Paramount. Downstairs bar is nice but bar lines tend to be very long. Easy place to grab a quick, much cheaper drink is at the Retro lounge around the corner. A number of nice, upscale dinner spots around the area too, including, Lola, Dahlia Lounge, Millers Guild, etc.

Damn its a cool venue but it was HOT in the upper balcony and there is no central air. I know its not often its this hot in Seattle but on one of those days you better really like who youre seeing there. Would have been nice to have a fan or open window up there but they did give out free water because of how hot it was
