Our toddler (and now we) refer to this as the dumptruck playground because the large sand pit is populated by various toy trucks that denizens have generously left there for others. (Stop by a Goodwill, grab 2 or 3 for $7 and try it - youll feel better than $7 can buy =)! Also, trucks do slowly find other homes...or their demise... ) There is an excellent playground (with a zip line! 2.5 year old had so much fun he rode it by himself! Once ; ). The communal feel is tangible - everyone interacts easily, children unite us all, sharing is the local ethos. Covered tables, bits of shade (small, but there), and a large field and track on the upper area by the reservoir, and a baseball diamond on the lower field (also with a steep little grassy hill for practicing downhill running fairly safely, or log rolling if not) legendary place, youll likely find it is near your friends and and easy place to meet-up for play dates on short notice.

Since being renovated this park is one of the best in Seattle. It offers a wide range of park amenities like a running track, sports areas, childrens play area with modern equipment (like a zip line!!!!), etc. One of the best parts is that it is one of the highest points in the city! It has a view of Mt Rainier that is to die for... especially on a clear morning at sunrise. You cannot beat it!

This park is one of the reasons I miss living in Mapleleaf. After the park renovation it became a spectacular park. It has a great track and field for running, ball sports areas, and an excellent playground, well protected from the busy street. The playground includes climbing structures, slides, swings, a sandbox, and a zip-slide. Awesome.

Its a great park with a great view of Bellevue, the Cascades, and Mt. Rainier. It also has a great view of Downtown Seattle most nights. This park may very well rival some of Seattles best parks with a view. Its also just a great place to walk around, take friends and family, and relax in.

This park is a great neighborhood amenity. Lots of options for playing, running, even biking. A playground for kids, a covered picnic area, a play field...Even the rain catchment ponds can be a good naturey type area. There are nice views of Rainier and the lane from the corner well.

Maple Leaf Reservoir is a great park. It has a huge track to walk or run around, lots of field space, baseball fields at the bottom and tons of parking all around. They have great transportation from all over that leads you to the park, and it is well maintained as well.

The park with the best view in Seattle! As all new installations, it seemed artificial to me at first, but with people enjoying themselves and their kids, batting whiffle balls over the nets, walking or jogging, etc., its an amazing addition to the neighborhood.

LOve this place for open play. The zip line is way cool for kids and the butterfly garden is nice. Would like to see the blackberries cleared between the flat top and the kids playground. Time to put in a 3 teared pea patch under a great apple tree.

Pretty chill scene here. Theres a track, pickleball courts (x2), a basketball court, and a big ol field for frisbee, soccer, or just throwing a football. Its a little exposed to winds, but does have fantastic views of the mountains.

New and unusual neighborhood park created by putting a lid on the reservoir. Great for families and for sunrise / sunset views of Mt. Rainier. Has walking paths, green playing fields, and basketball / pickleball courts.

Really nice playground with fun toys left by other folks - and the tracks around the water reservoir are perfect for little ones to ride trikes/bikes - or to walk/run. Win-Win.

Has allot of open flat space to play any sport. Also has tennis courts, basketball court, and track around the entire park. Just below the hill is a play ground for kids.
