I think that its not a park youre going to go to unless you are venturing up to Coit Tower. Whats cool is that the money for the park was donated and its an incredible gift because it adds greenery to an area of North Beach that doesnt have much greenery at all. The trees are always in need of a trim so it almost doesnt feel like a manicured SF park, but like a bush let wild...... I like it that way and truly never knew it was a park with park status until recently. Very cool. Now I gotta go make a few billion so I can leave it to the city for yet, another park.... gone wild!

I was on holiday from England and found this place a wonderful introduction to the city as it was the first place I visited. The drive up the hill was beautiful, the prices into the tower were good value. The bloke working the lift to the top was very friendly and gave me a lot of useful information. The most important thing was the views and they were amazing. I could see the whole city, the old bits and the new. It isnt until you get to the top you realise how much time you need to explore San Francisco.

Great views of the city. Very small parking lot, tough to find a spot, but parking is free. Can hike up to Coit Tower if you dont want to drive up the tight windy road. Its worth paying to go up Coit Tower on a clear day, but the line can be long and slow going. Once up the tower there are 2 small flights of stairs to go up, not too strenuous (my 71 and 75 year old parents in good shape faired well). Costs $8.50 to go up, seniors pay $5 or $6.

Among the hilltop parks for visual appreciation of the citys virtues, it is the only one equipped with a working toilet. In my opinion the views are better at Buena Vista, but there is no toilet at the top of the climb. Coit Twr provides additional altitude for viewers vantage but due to pedestrian traffic, limits of visitors viewing pleasure has to accommodate all visitors.

This wasnt too bad you got to be careful cuz there is no parking at the top the overall view was fantastic got to take a few photos you do have to pay to go into the top of it Tower gift shop Etc most of the staff is not very polite I wouldnt really suggest going here unless youre just going to go outside and take a few photos

We didnt take car, we were on foot. We took the stair route and it was between the home grown garden and flowers smelled fresh and blossomed. Great small trek trail! The tower was closed but we did get a great view of the SF from the top.

Beautiful views of Alcatraz, golden gate bridge, the city, etc. We didnt go up Coit Tower because of the long lines. It was a nice walk from our hotel in Union Station area. Glad I wore good walking shoes!

I think I like it better at night. No one around. No fees. You dont get to go up in the tower of course but you can walk around it and look down at the view of the city and the lights and its nice.

Spectacular views, challenging steps and trails to climb, and nice green space up top to relax and take in the sights. Dress comfortably, maybe bring a bottle of water as well. Highly recommended.

This is a great place with lots of history and its so beautiful the Lighthouse is one of the oldest in the US and the flowers were so bright and fresh I just loved everything about it

Only one self-cleaning toilet, so the line is long. The park is fun, the tower is busy, but reasonably priced.
