To be completely honest, I chose this course simply because of the reviews that mentioned that Pearland Golf Club at Country Place was not welcoming to minorities. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and offered a tee time, although a reservation was not made. Shane (at the front desk) was super and so were the other golfers on the course, who were also very patient with our skill set. While out on the course, we saw four groups of minorities; all having a blast! Would strongly suggest enjoying a day of golf here. Just remember to schedule your tee time! PS: Try the biscuits during breakfast. You will unquestionably go back for thirds! ;-) -Matthew Newman

This public course has had over $2M invested over the last 3 years; most recently the entire back 9 had a makeover of all greens, tee boxes and fairways. This has added some elevated greens and greatly improved the quality of the bunkers (which I spend way too much time in). Staff has turned over for the better, new manager and teaching staff very helpful. Occasionally, the residents forget their manners and jump onto random holes but overall, a great place to learn, practice and play golf. The grounds crew keeps things looking good. If you havent been by in a few years, or have never tried it, you should.

The overall course layout is a really good test of your shot making skills. Within the last year or so, they have added another layer of challenge to the course in the placement bunkers (wider and steeper). The greens are fast, with plenty of character. Water protects the greens on a few holes, however, there is water lining at least 7 fairways...which makes you takes a second look before trying a risk and reward shot.

Was thinking about a membership here. First time playing the course and got rained out. The course is in good shape and a bit tight. Played seven holes and got a nine dollar credit from a VERY gruff manager who gave a full raincheck to the folks in front of me. You lost a member here and Im tellin everybody I know. Keep your course Ill go to Wildcat where they know how to treat people.

I played this course about two years ago and it was in very poor shape...I cannot believe that it is the same course! It is in great shape...nice fairways, greens and traps. It is truly a nice course and a great value! As for the minority issue...we did not experience it at all. Everyone very friendly and kind to us, and our whole foursome was minority. Very fun round of golf!

I played there yesterday and was very pleased. It is a beautiful golf course. The greens are excellent. The prices are very reasonable for senior citizens. I would highly recommend the course to anyone who wants to play it! Have fun!

Quite, well maintained. Greens and tee boxes are in excellent shape. The golf carts are equipped with built in tablets with gps! You always know your distance and the hole lay out. Awesome carts!!

I agree with another reviewer about the staff. If youre a minority, stay clear of this place. There are FAR better options around the Pearland area. Not to mention, its only nine holes.

Not bad for the price, short course, not a lot of trouble other than all the trees I hit. Greens could use some grass, but overall I thought it was worth the $ I paid.

I recommend this golf course to all my friends. You will have fun playing this course. Greens are tricky. Nice people who work here.

best bang for buck in my opinion (amateur golfer) for the most difficult course I have yet to play on. A good challenge to hit up.

Classless people who are drunk in the morning and using fowl language loudly make for an unpleasant experience.

Great little course. Gray haired dudes get a little pissy sometimes but they get over it.

Tight course and in good condition. Have to ride a cart due to distances between holes.
