There is a lot of gang activity. There are dangerous people roaming around to kidnap, rape, rob etc. There are people whom threaten with guns. There are also gang members from Greenlake Plaza Apartments and other low income apartments that cannot be trusted around the wildlife. There are people at Greenlake Plaza Apartments that boast about removing the wildlife and torturing them. The park is beautiful but needs security cameras. I like to take pictures and eat my mostly vegetarian meal as the ducks traipse over my meal with their wet feet.

I love walking around Green Lake. Between the geese with their fuzzy little goslings and seeing the people of Seattle yound and old out and about by foot/bike/roller blades/wheelchair/foot, it is just a feel good kind of place. Features a little boat rental house with paddle boats as well as a small coffee shop and market to buy snacks near the Community Center. Plenty of benches to stop and sit around the lake trail as well as fishing docks to walk out on and hang your feet below to the water and a swimming area as well.

This is where the locals go on nice days! You can rent boats and boards at the boathouse, bring a blanket and have a picnic, hang out on the beach, go for a run, whatever you want to do. There is incredible people (and dog) watching here, and you will most likely see some cool birds (eagles, osprey, & blue herons are pretty common). I like to bring some lawn games as there is plenty of room. If you are into Pokemon Go, this park has a ton of stops and usually some interesting pokemon. This park has something for everyone!

This is one of the most popular parks in Seattle. The paved 2.8 mile path makes for a good walk, except for the high speed cyclists, maybe dodging the oblivious walkers on their side of the path, the rude pole boarders who believe swearing at people unable to Dodge their flailing pole solves anything, and the swarm of moms pushing oversized strollers occupying the entire width of the path. Go when the weather is not so good if you want a good walk

Great place to go for a run and then get Miyo Sushi for dinner. The park offers a lot of amenities such as tennis courts, big fields for frisbee and a body of water to go kayaking or standup paddle boarding. The park is great to lounge about on nice days with a book or walking around with your pup. The restaurants around the perimeter are all really great choices for a meal. Dont forget to stop in to Ben & Jerrys for a nice scoop of ice cream! ;)

Our favorite park in Seattle. Green lake is a large lake in the heart of Seattle. Theres a trial just under 3 miles around the lake. There are lanes for people on wheels (bikes, dollar bladers, etc) and one lane for walkers / joggers. There are a few restaurants around the lake as well. Beautiful and peaceful park in the heart of the city. Great place to spend the afternoon. Highly recommended!!!

Ignore the lousy bathrooms & barely-there parking- this park is a gem. Whether youre a runner, baby-stroller, wading pool fan or playground swing set diva, GLP has something for you. Pack snacks and make an afternoon of it. Watch the ducks from the wading beach. Bring a blanket and stretch out on the lawn. Revel in a real oasis in the middle of one of the biggest and busiest cities in the US.

Busy in the dryer months, this place is for the mover and shaker. Everyone is doing something active here. Its a man made lake north of the city with imported fish and a 3 mile paved trail along the shoreline. Dog friendly lake but people will glare if you go swimming with your four legged friend without a leash. Lots of strollers, coffee moms, and completely oblivious trail walkers.

My favorite place in Seattle! Very large beautiful park!! You can walk, run, bike or skate around the lake. Play frisbie and picnic. Great place for kids. Nice beach. You can rent peddle boats and kyaks. Several wonderful restaurants around. Available restrooms. Parking can be a challange. Dog friendly park and lake. Remember your doggie waste bags!

Great place to go out for a run! Theres a path that loops around the entire lake so youll have about a nice 2-3 mile distance to cover. The view across the lake is even better when the sun is setting. Theres also the opportunity to take some paddle boats, kayaks, water bikes and other water activities at the boathouse near the little cafe.

A beautiful park that surrounds a serene lake. A paved bike/walking path surrounds the lake. I dont see many bikes on the trail because there are usually so many people walking there that it makes cycling pretty slow going. Theres also a nice outer dirt trail thats great for running if you dont want to dodge around all the walkers.

Love going here with my son. It is beautiful and there are many options of activities to choose from. Play in the playground, throwing gravels in the lake, playing with sand next to the water, go on a boat ride, play in the water, bike or walk around the lake. There is also a community center with indoor play area there.

Green lake is the place to walk your dog, watch baby ducks and practice mindfulness meditation. We live in an older apartment on Roosevelt street and dont like walking underneath the I5 due to the high traffic and risk of getting hit by cars. I want a bike path and greenway that provides safe access to Green lake.
