This historic site has a great set of marked trails that takes you into the weltands. The path has many signs with details of the plants and trees in the area. Many kids and adults have been "Rocking" the area with painted rocks. If you are not participating, please leave the rocks for others...unless you really like them XD Keep or rehide and share your finds. Rocking gets kids as well as adults out in nature doing a fun activity that requires no batteries or wifi. Be careful when walking the trails with children, there are large male trapdoor spiders that have been seen walking the paths as well as snakes and other creatures you may not want to come in contact with. This is location #5 (sign missing) and #6 of the Eagle Scouts Geo-Trek of FederalWay. However the sign for #5 is not at the entrance as it should be. It would have said to follow the trails 3/4 mile down to the lookout. The final sign can be found at the end of the trails overlooking the water you can see the Brook Lake Community Center.

You might be wondering how in the heck anyone could give nature a three...its not the nature that Im bothered with here. I love outside. I love this little park. I do not love the new giant sign that says "no Pokemon." So we want kids outside, but only if they are outside our specific way. Yeah. Thats fostering a desire to get out. How about, if you are playing Pokemon please keep your sound off and stay on trails. How come national parks are welcoming people to come out and play?! But our local park is too precious for that? Come on. Stop being curmudgeons. Let kids be kids. Theyre more likely to support your park in the future if they had good memories from the past.

Great wetland urban green space right in Federal Way. You can do a fairly serious hike, the place is huge. Right at the entrance to the park are some nifty historical cabins including the Baker cabin. The first quarter mile, we must have seen over fifty brown rabbits, so they must like the habitat. When we got back to the trailhead a car alarm was sounding. Someone had smashed the right front window of a white Ford Explorer and ( I assume) taken something. Be certain to take any valuables with you on the trail and leave the inside of your car as empty as possible. Some of the park caretakers showed up and said a similar break in happened last week as well.

The park is very neat small meadow type area into a huge swampy forest trail. Most of the walk is a raised boardwalk and really slippery but not too bad for me. I got to the very end by the lake viewpoint and heard an erie scream, I kept thinking this place might be haunted? Spooked me enough to make me walk back. Then I got a little lost and had to use GPS to make my way out. Overall it was exciting and fun. Saw a lot of frogs and a bunny on the way out. Definitely lock your vehicle and take all valuables out.

I am basically giving this park a bad review because the policy makers are ragamuffins. No pokemon allowed? Screw you! I will play Pokémon if I want to in this park, and get arrested if need be! There is no reason a public park should tell people, "we get to control what you do on your phone!" So I will do it anyway and the policy makers can come stop me.

Nice little area to walk through, plenty of shading and smells pleasant. Ended up curving around the path right next to someones backyard though, kinda awkward with their children running around in a wetland area, seems kinda dangerous too. Also, theres a pokemon gym and plenty of pokestops to gather. Also, strictly NO DOGS.

Great place to relax and walk its well kept and quite considering its sided by two busy roads the paths are mostly made of wood plakes which are in great condition you can even see where nature has destroyed paths which is amazing it shows that theu work with the nature not destroying it

An area teeming with birdwatchers. Always take a lap around the boardwalk every visit. Be careful as some paths lead to backyards which is private property. Limited parking as well with only 11 spots.

Great park for a short walk. Youre transported into the forest, its almost hard to believe youre in the middle of the city... Then a plane flies over and you remember. But its a nice walk anyway.

Cute little wetland trail for about 1-2 mile walk. Has a nice wooden deck path to walk around and not too complicated of a maze. However, BEWARE of poison ivy everywhere!

Good interpretive materials, but lots of highway noise. Cool boardwalk for wetland access, other trail is soggy. Nice to have in the urban blight zone.

A great 1.7 mile walk. Easy enough for people who have trouble with long distance because of its many benches on the trail.

Barely any wetlands. Almost dry to the bone. The trail was nice except the smelly tires that held the bridge up.
