I travel often and this wasnt one of my greatest experiences. The hotel room was ok. When I got in the room there wasnt enough towels, face or hand towels. I had to call to get more. Its obvious housekeeping arent cleaning like they should because around the base of the toilets werent clean. The rooms should have had the essentials and checked by a supervisor to ensure rooms are ready. I called the front desk and extended my stay for an extra day so when housekeeping knocked I informed them. I told her I needed towels, toilet tissue and trash emptied. She told me to put everything outside and she would be right back. then another housekeeper knocked and was told the same thing and was informed another housekeeper was suppose to come back with everything. She says well dial "0"! I was appalled to get such an answer. So the housekeeper came back with only 2 face towels! I couldnt believe the unprofessionalism I was experiencing. When I left the room nothing had been moved from outside the room. I spoke to the Manager and she asked for my room number. She assured me it would be taken care of. When I returned the things had been removed , however I still didnt get enough towels and only 1 roll of toilet tissue was left! In regards to the breakfast a restaurant was adjoined to the hotel. The breakfast didnt look like most breakfast Im used to having especially at a Hilton Property. Ive stayed at many hotels and this was one of the worst experiences Ive had. This Hotel doesnt deserve to be part of Hilton Properties and should be removed. If they remain as a Hilton Property Partner training is needed from Senior Leadership to the most Junior.

I was a little nervous after reading some reviews that I was going to be regretful of choosing this Doubletree. I was pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of all the staff. I only encountered one issue mentioned by others, which was less than usual towels. Typically you find 3 to 4 bath towels and wash clothes per room in most hotels. There were only 2 bath towels, 2 washcloths and 2 hand towels. I asked for more and they were delivered to my room so the issue was resolved. The front desk was friendly. All the support staff that were cleaning nearby rooms upon my arrival greeted me. I went down an elevator and there were some employees with laundry who offered I take the elevator first. There are 3 elevators total. 2 are very small and older and then a mewer, larger elevator that will accommodate large groups with luggage or luggage carts. The breakfast hostess was so welcoming and friendly. Overall the breakfast was good and there were several hot and cold options. The bed was comfortable. There was a very faint smoke smell from prehaps where there was a smoker or smoking allowed at one point. It was so slight though that I did not ask to change rooms because I liked my end of tge hall location. I did have a mini refrigerator. I was on the 11th floor, which is also a Hilton Honors floor. Nice shower head and I could tell the tile surround had been upgraded. I would say 5 stars for staff and 4 stars for hotel.

I travel extensively for business and have stayed at this particular Doubletree for at least 65 or 70 nights in 2013. I really like a lot of things about the hotel - the location, the restaurant/bar, etc. I wanted to continue to stay at this hotel, but having hot water for my shower in the morning is a basic requirement. When it happened the first time, I chalked it up to my room being at the end of the hallway. The second time (in a different room), it was irritating but I was in a hurry and didnt report it. The 3rd, 4th and 5th times, I reported it each time and expressed my displeasure with the situation. They credited me Hilton Points each time and promised to have it corrected. I was willing to give them a chance to correct the issue. Now its the first time in 6 weeks that Ive stayed at this hotel and guess what? When I went to take a shower, barely warm water again! They cant fix the problem! I went to the front desk and apparently I was one of MANY guests to report it AGAIN. Im a very patient person and understand that these things can happen, but Ive given them a lot of time to fix the issue. Even MOTEL 6 has hot water - come on people! I blame this on the management. I checked out early and made a reservation at another hotel. So, if you can handle a cold shower this is the place for you!

I just wanted to say thank you DoubleTree!! I am a nursing mother and I had a room booked and didnt even think about needing to store my milk until the night before but noticed there was no refrigerator in the room. (Only my second time being away from baby not used to this haha) I called the hotel thinking oh maybe its just not listed but sure enough no refrigerators. I asked if that was something they could accommodate or if I needed to find alternate plans. (which I was totally OK with doing considering I should have checked before booking) She put me on hold and came back and said. "Mrs.Howes you will have a refrigerator in your room upon arrival. If you need anything else please let us know we will be happy to make arrangements !" I was soooooo happy!!!! It put less stress on me, my husband and I were so thankful! Another plus, we were greeted with chocolate chip cookies, the rooms were super clean and we have no complaints!! If we ever visit Greensboro again, we will be staying again for sure!!!

The staff was friendly but poorly prepared. We had difficulty getting towels and were told by the front desk to find a housekeeper and get one off the cart. The housekeeper wasnt able to come up with four towels after searching. Unfortunately, breakfast was unimpressive. The scrambled eggs were runny and 1/2 hour before breakfast ended, the bacon was mostly bacon bits. Although the waitress was pleasant, she could not get us an egg alternative without an extra charge. The pool was also disappointing as the water was murky and the room was extremely warm. In addition, an elevator was out of service for part of our stay. Finally, I love the idea of warm cookies when you arrive but I dont think Doubletree realizes that many people have nut allergies. When I asked for an alternative, there were none available. We have been staying at Doubletree hotels for a long time and Im afraid that this may be a systemic problem. We had a very similar experience when staying in Key West Florida.

The pool water was very cold. We thought it would have had a warmer but it did not. The elevators and hallways were muggy and hot. The rooms were nice and clean but there was no fan and not even a fan option on the air units since the air units were modern. There were a lot of people staying when we did, but peoples children would be laid up and just sitting in the small elevators just riding up and down with people and asking them questions. This made the ride difficult for guests because there was so many of then in there playing only 2 people could get in at the time. Then the whole stay we also heard kids running down the hallways banging on doors and shutting doors. I can understand that its the parents problem and fault for disorderally children but no parents were anywhere around with these children EVER. I think the staff should have put a stop to it but at the same time if it was put in then they would never get any work done because they would be chasing kids all day.
