My boyfriend and I visited this establishment last night. We arrived rather late...it was our last stop while doing downtown Olympia. We had fun mingling with and meeting new people. The drinks and the price of them were ok. We were moved into the bar around 1:30 after the karaoke was done- the workers that asked us to move were not rude, just insistant. So we sat in the bar with our new friends that we had just met and ordered a round of drinks. Close to closing we all observed some commotion at the table next to us. A bald male bartender yanked a beer bottle from a womans hand, threw it a ways to the garbage can (which made a rather large crash) and called her a !%$# b!#@ch and told her to get out and never come back again. This surprised all of us at our table and the tables around us. This poor girl never said anything and did not appear obnoxious. Most people were surprised at this bartenders behavior and some asked what his problem was....this just seemed to make him more outraged. He was on the verge of losing control of himself.....he certainly scared me. The woman bartender explained to us that they had to clean up for another hour before they could leave themselves. What a poor excuse for being rude and abusive to patrons that support a local business. I know several people that will not be back again-unless management gets a handle on that particular baretender. I think this one was hired directly from Western State Hospital...he needs angermanagement.

When Steve does the karaoke, its awesome. Whenever someone else is doing it, the sound is awful and they arent fair with the rotation of singers. Two of my friends and myself put in our songs at the same time. They both got to sing in a reasonable amount of time, my song was almost an hour later. I kept asking the karaoke dj when my turn was and she had my slip under other peoples everytime and kept putting more people infront of me. This seems to always happen with female karaoke hosts. When I finally did get to sing, the sound was so bad I couldnt hear myself at all. The sound is awesome when Steve is hosting and he is fair with the rotation. Charlies bar used to have a big karaoke crowd of regulars, but now they have no karaoke following at all because of these same reasons. The karaoke host makes or brakes the experience and your bussiness.

Only three, not because of the bartenders, not because of the singing, and not because of the people that go there. Mainly due to the layout, the overall atmosphere (which isnt bad), and the entertainment. Nothing personal, but not a place Id suggest for making an impression on someone.., at least not one I want to advertise lol

Known affectionately to the locals as "The Crippler", this is the bar for those that work hard and play hard. The drinks are free pour and heavy, you never need to order a double. Karaoke is fun here. But there are more singers than wallflowers, come Sunday-Thursday if you want to sing more than twice in a night.

My sons band played there last Saturday (November 7th) to a large and enthusiastic crowd. The drinks were flowing and everything was great - except the bar was so cheap they didnt pay the bands a dime. They didnt even give them a single free drink! How small town......

Watch out. Be sure to go in groups. This is not a friendly place to visitors from out of town. I wouldnt say its a rough place because the kereoke guy and bartender are special needs, but they are the only workers and they aint working very hard.

Terry is great! Deb, is questionable. I left with a friend and misplaced my purse 10 minutes after departure and "Deb" unpleasantly answered the phone confirming my purse was there. To my suprise, my cash was not. I know... my fault. But, damn.

Drinks are not as cheap as they should be considering theres often only one bartender (pervert btw) and the place has such a working class vibe. This place gets 2 stars for its wide karaoke selection.

Great pours and definitely a deal. The jukebox is great and the layout is spacious. Two sided bar with karaoke on one side, however its not awful karaoke but more ck than anything else. Not a typo...

Great place for karaoke and staff is excellent with great drinks at a reasonable price. When you buy a shot here you get like a double. Locally loved with good food.

Laid back, friendly dive. Worn out wood on some of the flooring, weird but open layout, cheesy lights, disco ball, good karaoke, exactly what I was looking for.

Karaoke is fun, but not on Fridays or Saturdays if you want to actually sing. Those nights I usually only get a song or two. Terry the bartender is awesome!
