I liked this place yesterday, but today makes me never want to go back. Sat there for an hour and finally left the place super hungry. All we ordered was 2 sandwiches, but they never came. Waitress wasnt too concerned, slightly but not really. Reading the reviews shows this must be normal for this business. I felt woozy from low blood sugar walking out. You need to inform customers that it might be an hour wait to get their food. Its the decent thing to do.

5 stars for quality, variety of vegan/vegetarian options, atmosphere, and creativity of menu. Vegetarian davo Taproot tacos were great. Veggie Benedict was good. Would have liked a carb such as a toasted croissant or English muffin with it. Tomato should have been diced instead of sliced. Pumpkin avocado shake was good, but could have had more pumpkin and avocado in it.

Taproot is my go-to bar in Salem. In the past few years, the bar game in Salem has certainly improved. Coin Jam, Archive, Taproot, Ventis, The Brick and many others provide great beers and different atmospheres. I often frequent Taproom as the atmosphere is generally relaxing and a great place to hang out with friends. The bartending staff are awesome and very personable.

The staff is always really friendly (especially my favorite server/bartender), and the food is good. The wait is generally pretty long, even with a relatively small amount of people being served, and instead of home fries, they gave me tater tots, haha. Over all, if youre with friends and have some time to kill, they have tasty food and good katchup :P

The food is delicious! They serve good clean food as late as they are open. Very affordable as well. Usually to have a healthy option at other places you have to pay a lot extra; not the case here. Plus, they have shuffle board in the back! Very friendly staff as well. I recommend this place to everyone who asks for good place to eat in Salem.

The employees here recently took it upon themselves to beat up a single guy in the alley! It was 4 guys to 1 and apparently the owner knows nothing about it! He put his hands in the air and acted like it was not his problem. Watch your back people you never know if your gonna be getting your ass kicked for nothing next! Not a good hangout.

Whats that? Youre a vegetarian or vegan and want to go get drinks and snacks? This is your place. Solid cocktails, local beer, and delicious food. Also the place looks super cool inside. Im pretty partial to the poutine and the hot nuts. Edamame are a little labor intensive but super tasty as well.

Pretty awesome kickback bar/ juicer/fruit bar/coffee/tea bar lol great steampunk atmosphere almost feel like ur in the steam/ erra lol youll enjoy the great service n high quality goods n foods they serve...try the poutine I never had it till here ...its phenomenal!!!!!!jon

Okay, so the food was great, the staff was great, but interior decor made me think of Vegas. Not in that glitzy way, but in that "we brought the outdoors indoors! Does that blow your mind?" kinda way. Its basically a bar/bistro/restaurant/coffee shop. All at once. Enjoy.

If I am going for a drink. This is one of my spots. Good selection of beers. A chill atmosphere and good selection of music. I just wished they had more people on the floor during busy times. It can be a bit of wait to order food when theres only 2 people taking orders

Consistently high quality food and service. For the amount of times I have eaten here the service is always top notch. As far as favorites, the tacos and wings are spot on, as well as the bowls. Drinks never disappoint with an ever evolving crew behind the bar.

Claire and Christopher have this place dialed in. Good beer selection, perfect ambiance and some of the best and most unique menu items. The home made sipping vinegars are special and a great new way to enjoy old favorites.

One of my favorite places to eat, in Salem. Brussels sprouts! Goat cheese in the grilled cheese sandwich. Its comfort food, but better. My vegetarian and vegan friends also cant wait to come back.
