I have had a very bad experience at Temple Square. When I am not on the property I do not want any of the Officers talking to me. I do not care if they are trying to be nice. Especially those that did were rude and stuck up. I am done being nice I do not care if it is one year that I am trespassed. I am going back to Austria for good. I will not be here in one year so it is beyond me what you do. I am done being nice. I do not care what a Sister advises I am not going pray when I am angry at somebody. The Security Officers are not worth my forgiveness. Nothing is forgiven and nothing is forgotten. As far as the Missionaries they are juvenile they had all this time to get over it. I have not asked for Missionaries since ast year. When an Officer had me trespassed for a week the first time he said it was to help me and the Missionaries. They had me fooled and for them to say they try not to be outrages that is a big story. I only did three tours not lots of them and I never asked for an individual. I have a real hate towards the Security and for some of the Missionaries. Either way I do not have to go to property I got better stuff to do. I am also angry at the Mission President. He has never met me and he is already judging me. I am surprised people come to Temple Square. They do not know what fellowship is. One Officer patronized me and I should be real angry at him. I did not talk to any Missionaries AT ALL THAT DAY! There are other places I like more than Tempe Square. I have seen different. And Austria is to beautiful to have Mormon culture. Thanks! I like Temple Square but not the Officers and I will never forgive them. It is better to be trespassed than to not have that right to the Missionaries. I do not think I believe it that they are uncomfortable maybe they are making it up. Some of the Sisters thought that I was still trespassed they are dumb. And I do not care if they do not need to know I will tell them anyway that I am sewing the company. The truth hurts. Well hey! CHOKE ON IT!

If you are not from Utah you need to visit Temple Square, if you dont want to take a normal guided tour (Free) just go on your own and look around. The north visitors center has a statue of Jesus that is like 10 feet high in a room with the ceiling painted in deep blue with planets and stars. The conference center to the north holds over 22,000 people and a 747 could fit inside from wing tip to wing tip without columns. The building to the west is the worlds largest genealogy center and the building next to that is the LDS museum and there are activities for children and lots of art that gets rotated constantly. The building to the east is the Joseph Smith building and there are two restaurants on the top floor. The ROOF which is very elegant and expensive (About $40 each) and THE GARDEN which costs much less but both have wonderful views. The south visitors center has a full mock up of the LDS Temple so you can see what is inside. The tabernacle is a building that has a dome on the top and was originally made using wood pegs and leather straps and you can hear a pin drop from the front of the building to the back. The acoustics are great. The building holds about 4500 people if I am not mistaken. The benches are pine but painted to look like hardwood, the columns are pine but painted to look like marble. Just knock on one of them. You can easily spend all day at Temple square. There are several movies called Meet the Mormons which are very well done and free. There are about 125 Women/girl missionaries working on Temple Square and they are taking 18 months out of their lives to do this service mission so they are not paid employees. They are from all over the world so it is fun to look for the different flags of the world on their name tags. Dont miss Temple Square while you are here in Salt Lake City.

Temple Square is the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. It is a 10 acre city block filled with religious buildings (including the Mormon Temple and Tabernacle) and beautifully maintained gardens. In November and December the square is filled with an amazing display of Christmas lights and a life-size Nativity scene. There are two visitor centers, with many free displays and short films about the Mormon Church, its history, doctrine, and the importance of families, including family history. The Tabernacle, a wonder of 19th century engineering, is open for tours and for recitals played on the world famous Tabernacle Organ. Music and the Spoken Word with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is broadcast from the building each Sunday. There are also many musical and other performances scheduled year round. A smaller building known as the Assembly Hall is also open to the public. Guided tours are available, starting from the flag pole in the center of Temple Square, or you can wander freely, enjoying the gardens, buildings, and exhibits at your own pace. The only building not open to the public is the prominent, six-spired Salt Lake Temple, but often the gates to the grounds immediately surrounding the Temple are open.

A Temple Square é provavelmente a principal atração turística de SLC. Realmente o local é muito bonito. Visitamos o tabernáculo e o Joseph Smith Memorial Building.

There is something very special about this place. Yesterday morning we walked through the North Visitors Center, the one with the Christus statue, and felt amazing peace as we enjoyed floor to wall framed paintings of scenes from the Bible, a statue of Adam and Eve in the Garden, and of course the Christus surrounded by the splendor of space. Soft music played in the background. Two sister missionaries visited with us, sharing their "why"s for their missionary service, and bearing testimony of Jesus Christs amazing grace. It was a beautiful experience, one I will always cherish. On Thursday we walked past the Tabernacle and heard the gorgeous sounds of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir rehearsing. In the center of it all, the Salt Lake Temple stood white and glistening, pocked with the marks of history but resplendent in its purpose and celestial symbolism. We were in the area for three days, and each day walked past the temple at least twice. You can really feel something special here.

Amazingly beautiful place...not only the gardens, but the volunteers and missionaries who help you interpret your visit throughout the Square. Do NOT miss the lookout atop the Administration building in which a volunteer will take you up and point out lots of things in the Square and beyond. The Temple building exhibit in the South Visitor Center was very interesting and missionaries very helpful in learning more about the Mormon faith and the buildings in the Square. We asked at the North Visitor Center to see "The Legacy" and 2 lovely missionaries, one from Thailand and the other from Guatemala, set up the theatre just for us to watch this very interesting film about how the Mormons came to settle in SLC. The Square has some of the most beautiful annual gardens I have ever seen. Park in City Creek (the mall area that is across the street from the Square)...first 2 hours are free.
