This is a fantastic little museum about the archaeology under the streets of Salt Lake City. It is connected to a tunnel that runs under State Street so this is a great way to cross State Street and experience some of the history of the area. The structure above ground is meant to show what the old Social Hall would have looked like along the modern city streets. The exhibits focus on two aspects - the social life of early Salt Lakers (especially the Theater) and the archaeological discovery process that uncovered the foundations of the old Social Hall. I am really fascinated by archaeology and I find this museum to be delightful. It is small and only contains static displays and no staff. However, it is certainly worth a quick visit to check it out.

Most just walk through to get from the parking structures to the Key Bank tower, but there is some history here. If you are in the area (for example the food court right next door, take a few minutes and look around.

Kind of a cool place to see early some of Salt Lake Citys early history. It isnt very big and it is the entrance to the unground to City Creek Mall.
