Went here to celebrate my birthday. Took my wife, son, and his wife. What a beautiful course with a beautiful view! My wife is a beginner golfer and did really well at four lakes a month ago, so we figured she could do a bigger course ok. We seemed to be doing ok speed wise. Nobody was in the same tee box with us when we teed off, so we thought we were good. All of a sudden, an elderly man pulled up and told us we needed to pick up our pace. He proceeded to tell her that maybe she isnt ready to golf at an up scale golf course. What a jerk! I have had a Marshall come and ask us to wait on the next hole so faster golfers could play through. I was more than ok with that, but this Marshall said 6 people called into the clubhouse complaining and basically told my wife she wasnt good enough to play here. Because of this Marshall, my sweet wife felt terrible and quit playing. To say the least, he ruined my birthday experience. My bad for letting it get to me, but he was very disrespectful how he approached the situation. In the end, we still had to wait to tee off on our last hole, so our pace could not have possibly been as slow as he made it out to be. My wife averaged 3 over par for each hole . Nice golf course but a jerk of a golf marshal in my opinion. I personally will never golf there again.

Old Mill is my favorite public course in South Salt Lake. The course is well kept and in much better condition than all the other public courses on this side of the valley with exception of South Mountain. Length is average from the tips. Not many trees and fewer ob areas that will eat your ball. Greens arent difficult but more challenging than competition with the exception of South Mtn. Green fees and cart for $40 -50. Walk on is going to be challenging unless its mid week mid day or 1 - 2, foursome isnt happening during peak hours.

Fun golf course! Only played the front 9 and it was quite impressive. Some longer par 4s, but but most of the front 9 was down hill. It has some fairly deep bunkers as well. This courses best feature is its beautiful view of the valley. Only downside is the buzzing traffic from I-215, but I didnt notice it much. This is a great course for beginners since itis mostly downhill. If they top the ball, it will roll a long ways. Enjoy this beautiful course.

Old Mill has never had good greens but this year so far takes the cake. All other courses I have played in Salt Lake are leaps and bound a head of Old Mill. Their Greens Keeper should re-evaluate his career choice. I amazes me how a course that started out as a rock quarry cant get enough sand to fill in the holes after aeration. Also mowing the green a little lower may allow more then 2 on the Stimpmeter.

Old Mill is probably my favorite course in the Salt Lake valley but I hardly ever play here. I usually walk when I play golf, and this course is not one I want to walk anymore, its quite a hike. A lot of fun holes on this course with many options on how to play. My favorites holes are #s 2, 9, 10,11,12, 15, 16,17, and 18. I should really make more of an effort to play here more often.

A fun, challenging course. The front nine is easier than the back nine. The back nine gets narrower and a lot more trees. It isnt the longest course, but it challenges you as shot selection seems to be more important than just driving it a mile. They keep the course up well. But you hit off of mats at the range.

Greens are always beat up for two main reasons... Patrons have zero clue on how to fix their divots and the fact the course was designed where so many steep approach shots are made. Back nine is poorly designed. This is one of the best courses tho in terms of the views as it overlooks the entire valley

I went to the Haven fundraising event at Old Mill last July. Im not a professional golfer by any stretch, but the course was a little bit run down. All in all it was a good day of golf, but it definitely wasnt the best course Ive played. As for the food, marginal at best.

Fun course. The front nine is full of grip it and rip holes. The back nine features a couple holes where youll have to hit 3 wood or layup. The greens were terribly long, they needed a cut or rolling. Im a walking golfer. No way I could walk this course.

Beautiful course and beautiful views of the valley. Pace of play was great as well. Im not a great golfer but the front 9 was great for my skill level: challenging but not too hard. I would definitely come back.

Hard to beat the views on this course. Just majestic. The front 9 is easier than the back 9. Usually in great shape. The greens can be a little slow. One of the best courses along the Wasatch Front.

Almost 3 hours and I finally just left after 8 holes. The course itself was good. Maybe if I ever go back I will change this but for now it was a waste of time

The course is never in that great of shape. The views are great, obviously...but it feels like they ran out of room and really had to crowd the back nine in.

Great for an inexpensive round of golf. Otherwise it isnt a very good place to go Golfing. Its right off the freeway, so on some holes thats all you hear.

The course is nice. But the starter and pro staff need to be replaced. They dont control if 5somes play which slow pace of play.

The tee times are unrealistic. We had a 11 a.m. and waited almost an hour before giving up. They like to stack them in.

Fun course. Very tough & different holes because of the mountain scape. Loved the breathtaking views too.
