After reporting an issue with the snack bar and grill, the President and Manager quickly contacted me to apologize and explained to me that the food and beverage area of the course are operated separately and the course is currently taking bids for replacing them. I was very impressed by the quick response from the President and Course Manager. The course itself is beautiful and it is apparent that a great deal of pride is placed in to its care. We will be revisiting this course as often as possible. I cant say enough about the beauty of the course and in this day and age it is so refreshing and greatly appreciated to find folks in management and other leadership roles who sincerely care about their customers and the quality of their product and/or service. We will definitely be returning ASAP to this course.

The updated greens and fairways are much nicer than before. Your hitting off better fairways and the greens are slicker and faster than ever. I was really impressed with the improvements. I felt it is was reasonably priced for the great course conditions. Of course the pin placements were a little challenging, I dont think the greens keeper plays the game, so he must make it almost like crazy put-put greens, you could 4 putt from a near miss. I wasnt disappointed, you wont be either.

Great Municiple Course. 18 holes walking for $12. Nice layout and water, sand and trees come into play. No tee times just show up. Have been backed up on 1st tee but it has always thinned out rather quickly. If you are a golfer in the Texas City area Highly recommend this course. Also great course to practice and keep your skills sharp.

Bayou is a perfect name for this course. I felt I was playing in a swamp! Puddles and pools of standing water on every single hole. Very disappointed. Will never play here again. Poor to nonexistent irrigation. I played at Moody Gardens golf course the day before and it was dry as a bone and not cart path only.

Gotta say that I highly enjoyed this course. I was a walk up. They gladly set me up with group. Gary from the front was a really nice guy. He was very informational and helped me find whay I needed. Thanks Gary! Defiantly recommend this course !

Poor drainage on the course. Many similar courses in the area have much better irrigation, and varying grass height. Payed $25 per person for a round of 18 with cart rental through play now. Greens were in poor shape as well.

City owned public course which isnt bad actually. Youve got room to fade or hook and still recover on most holes and keep having fun. Go fore it!

Great course. Kinda funny how many things are named after County commissioners at the course. I want to be a county commissioner there.
