Let me preface this with, I was in a similar type of business with Bowlmor-AMF Bowling Centers. I chose to slow my life down a bit and focus on my family and decided I would go to work for a local church on the outskirts of houston with a good solid group of kids.. My students wanted to do laser tag..and so i checked out the specials.. its a pretty quick decision we came to, but what I received was a poor understanding of what we were asking for... 3 games of Laser Tag... I offered $15 a person, they were offering a deal of $19.99 for all unlimited other games plus food.. Basically, i wasnt looking for a food package, I wasnt looking for anything but laser tag.. this is what my students wanted.. So I contacted their corp office in plano ( i used to love in North Texas ) The business i came from is very similar in the sense of how you build revenue... the difference is, when i ran a center, I worked with my sales team to make it happen... For Main Event folks, there was no making it happen... no compromises.. They kept talking about the $19.99 special, the contract and the 50% deposit which i completely understand... but we are talking about coming there this saturday.. They then spoke about it being primetime.. guess what, i understand this as well.. Bottom line.. learn to negotiate... it will lead to long term relationships... this is what its about... To say to me.. well there is NOTHING we can do... Thats an outright lie.. there is always SOMETHING you can do.. I always had someone in upper management i could talk to and we always did what we needed to do to work with groups, esp anything involving kids because we wanted this business for if you have kids and are kid friendly, this translates into families, and families turn into birthday parties and church groups turn into lockins and so forth and so on... LEARN TO BUILD LONG TERM RELATIONSHIPS... So we have chosen to go to your competition for LASER TAG all because you no flexibility, no understanding of your business and please... quit trying to speak double talk to someone who was in the business who built their revenue from 825,000 to almost 3 million... BAD SERVICE GUYS

The games were nice, but the food is a bit overpriced but thats expected, but the staff very rude. I ask the bartender if theres someone that can help me for the pool table to get the balls, and the man snaps "do you not see everyone else waiting". I asked him someone else because he looked busy and I tried being flexible but the man actually snaped at me I know he was busy but I caught him when he had a second. So my girlfriend goes and asks a young lady who worked there about the pool table and she rolled her eyes and sighed very loudly "ask the bartender, you know you have to pay for that right yeah its not free". It was very rude, but these are only 2 employees. I made a joke to the guy at the prizes spot "man so much easier to just buy prizes with real money am I right" the man replies "no only points we dont accept money for prizes only points thats why we have the machines award points" he said this in a inappropriate tone. Later that guy would not stop staring at the females in our group as they were talking in the prizes area they werent near any of the prizes to grab so no point in making sure theyre not stealling anything, but even when they are just talking to eachother that same guy is staring at them with his mouth open. I look at him and he looks away trying not to be noticed. All 3 must have been having rough days but it was unacceptable how they talked to their customers. Just go in put money in your card and play games while avoiding any staff that you can.

I went there this evening with my family and I must say it was much to my surprise that the bowling lanes werent even an option due to the particular times and such of the lanes occupancy. We made our way to the game room only to find some not working properly which is sad when you are spending $50 to play. Didnt completely let that ruin our time there however. But when it came time to grab a bite to eat is when the disappointment really sat in. Our waiter seemed to be nice but a bit all over the place. He got my order wrong I ordered the bacon cheddar burger which sounded amazing from the menu..and instead I got the all American and when I pointed out it was wrong my waiter just brought me to strips of bacon as a sorry! Instead of the burger I ordered originally! My husband said the quesadillas were not much to desire as the chicken resembled the taste of ham. All in all we didnt have a horrible time but would have appreciated way better service. It was definitely expected.

It was an okay arcade its the teenage employees there, so what happened was that i ordered ice cream for me and my wife then i paid and waited for a while almost twenty minutes then i thought well they have a scooper and cups there maybe it was a self serve (i know stupid but i figured since i wasnt getting any help for the employees) so i lifted the glass thing and began doing my business until the employees saw what i was doing and just stared at me wide eyed and mouths gaping like fish i put the glass thing back down hitting my head on it out of humiliation lol. then two rude girl employees laughed at me and went inside the kitchen still not helping me get the icecream until a third employee went to apologize and serve the damn ice cream finally i left embarrassed due to the behavior of the employees like okay it was dumb but at least laugh at me when im gone damn.. but what kind of service is that tho im a chill person with a lot of patience so i dont get it.

I went there 6- 25- 16 . 12pm. The guy working the front counter seemed as if it was a inconvience for me to be there. With loud music I couldnt understand what exactly the price difference between the hour package and the stay as long you want.. he seemed mad when I asked him twice about the difference.. I asked which one was better and kinda just shrugged his shoulder like whatever. I was trying to come to place to have fun. But for a first impression. Get that guy out the front counter. The server was pretty cool and seemed more relax. And the arcade game are kool.. But that first impression killed it.. I wouldnt recommend that place to my family. I can only imagine if someone like my mother goes there to deal with that guy. I think the guys name is Gavin or something like that. Just noticed there a lot complaints. Seems like a company that cares would reach out to there customer . Rather them send to a email to solve a problem caused by the store..

Susan Cooper here is one of the rudest, nastiest, most awful employees I have ever come across. I will make sure that no one I know, including myself, will ever come back here because of her (which is a very large clientele of Mainevent). She lacks any customer service or common sense, and other employees I know here have said very awful things about her and how she treats other employees. She talks to guests like theyre stupid, she has absolutely no patience, and is incredibly unprofessional. Besides her lazy personality at her job, she seems like one of the worst people Ive ever met personally. I pity Mainevent for even keeping an employee like her. The only good thing about this place was Marcus - a very kind person and was incredibly helpful. Maybe he can train Susan or give her some pointers on being a better person first, and then maybe a better employee.
