Sorry, but this place has gone down hill. Super dirty, cobwebs everywhere, broken toilets that havent been fixed in over a year. The bartender was inattentive. The text book definition of a dive bar, hole in the wall. Nope, nope, nope. At this junction in its life either the city steps in, makes it a historic landmark and forces it to get fixed and cleaned up or it needs to be leveled.

This bar was disrespectful, rude, unprofessional, and accused me of giving a drink to a minor when it DID NOT happen. I would not suggest this bar to anyone because it is small, and the owner/employees are rude and not friendly. VERY POOR EXPERIENCE!!

Great place, so much history and energy here. I absolutely love when a train goes by and you can feel the vibration. Excellent, the best ive ever seen, jukebox full of amazing country musicians and song writers

Tries a little too hard to be cool, but it is pretty genuine, and theres a lot of history attached to it. Drinks are overpriced; people can be snobby. Its hit or miss.

This place is legendary, and deservedly so. If youre a songwriter, you owe it to yourself to check out Kent Finlays Songwriter Circle on Wednesday nights. Incredible.

Authentic, stereotypical Texan pub. A bit run down however the authenticity makes up for it. Make sure to go for the Wednesday night songwriters night :)
