I just love this place I dont know why I dont go more often. Its easy to park right out front and it looks very nice from a distance very clean inside when you walk in and you can help yourself to sit at the table. The waiter was prompt and brought water right away and had our menu and they brought bread and butter. the food was hot when it came out. It exceeded our expectations food was delicious and the portions were very large. The waiter refilled our Waters and the bread and butter on the table. The manager came out to introduce himself and he was very pleasant. The chairs were unusually good and comfortable and the game was on the TV screen with no sound which made it really easy to speak with other people. The larger food portion size and the ambience exceeded my expectations very nice fine dining experience. I have been here before and I will come again in the future I highly recommend this place.

Place sucks. Came in with my fiancé on a rainy day and was greeted nicely. After we placed our order it took about 40 minutes to receive it. The margaritas were either too sweet or too sour. Was watching the Spurs game and they changed it and was told they would not change it because everyone else wanted to watch a college football game? Ok. Got the pecan chicken and I had never had chicken this unsavory. It had no flavor at all. Talked to the manager and was able to change it for something else. Not coming back.

Food was ok but not what menu stated. It seems like the chef just makes an approximation of what he thinks the food should be. Vodka sauce fettuccine with crab was spaghetti marinara with shrimp, sausage, and pepper flakes! Drinks were awful, tasteless, watered down. How hard is it to make a decent margarita? Music is good but doesnt make up for bad food and drinks. Will not go back anytime soon....shame because I really liked the band.

Peppers at Uptown is a new restaurant therefore the other reviews irrelevant. The business is under new ownership, management and has been gutted, remodeled and remade into Peppers at Uptown and reopened during 2008. Great atmosphere, drinks, service and the food ranges from gourmet burgers to prime steaks. Oh yea there is live music and you can still carry on a business meeting or romantic conservation.

The Cowboy Lunch is my favorite. Ribeye steak seasoned accordingly. The bread and butter is so good I have to make sure I leave room for my main dish. Dont forget the live music they have during the weekend.

Amazing food and great prices. The hamburgers are among the best in South Texas. They also offer many exquisite vegetarian dishes. This place is a rare jewel in the RGV.
