I was forced to put a star in order to write my experience, otherwise it would be no stars. My friends and I were out for a good night. We decided to try Main Event for the first time ever! Hearing how the bowling, laser tag and pool was a great. So we said what the heck. Upon arriving there we decided to go to the bar while we waited for the others to show up. Being at the bar was a bit agitating for the reason of waiting a life time to get a drink. The bartender kept saying "give me a sec" everytime she made eye contact. A couple showed up next to us and they were served within the second, at this point it was already 20 minutes in of "give me a sec" and still no beer in my hand. Bartender finally got to us and gave us a beer, so we were off to the games. Once our friends arrive we went back to the bar to get drinks. Same issue. We were wanting to order a bucket of beers. Waiting was longer than the first that we actually got to play half of a game of bowling while the boys were still at the bar waiting. Ridiculous right? Still not done. Boys were frustrated that the same bartender was not serving them, so SPEAKING AMONG THEMSELVES they said that they were not doing their job right. One curse word was involved, but never towards the employee. When that was said an employee who had NO IDEA what was going on got involved with an attitude and said "Why are you cursing at my bartenders" like i mentioned that it was never towards anyone she took it upon herself to call the manager TINA and tell her what supposedly had happened. Bringing TINA over made the situation even bigger (worst manager ever). She was rude n raising her voice without even trying to know what happened. All she said was that the boys were not allowed to get beers. Minutes passed we were at the bowling sight and Ryan came over (Nice Guy) wanting to know what happened. We explained what went wrong and said he would get us the buckets we needed. The point is that not once did we want anything free but enjoy a night out with friends. The way they treat their customers is disgusting. I will tell you that being Hispanic will put you at the end of their list of service. Not only did the same issue happen to my friends but the African American guy who was on the next bowling lane vouched that he had the same experience. I did not know skin colored matter. But being in Plano i should have known. Next time i will check reviews before entering this city.

I dont like writing reviews, but I felt so disappointed in the way we were treated at this location. We went to Main Event for the first time driving 45 min away from Dallas in the rain. We wanted to enjoy a good time with friends, but the way the bartender treated us was uncalled for (Kara). The bartenders had us waiting there for a long time to get served I really hate using the racism card, but I felt like they were just skipping us, because another couple came by and they immediately got served in which we were waiting there for a while. Mind you there were 5 bartenders and were not able to get our beer. It was not that busy for them not to able to do that. One African American waited there for a long time as well and indicated the same thing; its ludicrous for this to be happening. One of our friends was very upset because they were not serving him, so he indicated to us "I still dont have my $&@/ beer" Kara just went off on him, rudely, indicating we cursed at the bartenders which theres a difference on saying something to us friends and saying explicit word towards the bartenders, They obviously dont know the difference. You dont do that any costumers no matter the situation. You dont go off and yell at them. Kara screaming would you like me to call the manager, Ill call the manager, so we called for the manager (Tina), bad decision she didnt even allow us to explain what happen and just told us to get out of the bar. Ryan came over to talk to us who’s above Tina, Ryan heard us out and apologized indicated they have been here all day and probably just overwhelmed, that doesnt excuse anything. Ill give Ryan points for trying to handle the situation accordingly, I feel bad for Ryan because he doesnt have the back up from Tina the manager she needs to be trained on how to handle situation with customers. Ive worked in the service industries and I know exactly the feeling on working an all day shift in the bar, you still dont go crazy and scream at a customer like Kara did, she needs to not work shifts that she cant handle. As far as Tina, she needs to learn how to manage and be the backbone to Ryan and not let situation escalate

Living Life
I would give a zero if I could because this was by far one of the worst experiences that my husband and I went through. To start off we had to wait a long time for a waiter to help us even after he constantly kept helping the group right next to us and not even acknowledging us at all. Then when we finally got our food and drinks, one of the toppings was not on our pizza, and we mentioned it to one of the waiters that they forgot the topping and he told us that they ran out. They could have mentioned it to us. The pizza and pretzel to top it all off was not very good and even after that we tipped our waiter $9.00 which is a good 25% tip. After eating and bowling we went to play some of the games and we were playing one of those wizard of oz coin games and we had both put in about $20+ in credit together in the games to play and without warning the games shut off completely and one of the employees shouted out "were closed now! In case you didnt notice!" Pretty rude on his part. Turns out a couple playing next to us also had some credit in the games and one of the employees told us that we could go to the manager and ask to get the credit back. So went went to look for him. My husband and the man from the couple went as well, ended up talking to some one about this issue and as it turns out it is SPECIFICALLY because of the GENERAL MANAGER as the MAIN REASON for us not ever going back. Turns out he was really rude to my husband about the issue and said that he would gives us $5 to take it or leave it and then asked the man who went for the same issue, "what?! same thing with you?!" For a general manager that is just the worst customer service, very unprofessional, and just plain rude! Never ever going back again! Just sticking with Dave & Busters. I always had a great time there and the employees are very nice. Re: Response from owner We visited the Main Event in Plano by spring creek off of 75. Thank you very much for your time.

Endlessly Wanderlust
Went here to celebrate a birthday. The entire experience was mediocre at best. The food was quite disappointing - especially for the price. The lack of caring was written all over the staffs faces. Our server was friendly but was frustrating as he waited to bring out waters we ordered until after our food started showing up. We had reserved a 3:45 time slot to play laser tag. When we got to the counter (on time) we found out they gave our reserved slot to a different party. They said we could do the 4:45 slot. So, meanwhile we went to go bowl. They put us on the last lane (34) and we constantly had issues with our lane not registering our plays. We went back to play laser tag at exactly 4:45. They had again given our slot to a different party they "thought" were us. I dont understand why they dont actually write down and verify the NAME of the group so to make sure they get it right. After complaining to the attendant for some time she said she could open up the 5pm slot for us. (Why was that so hard?) Went to play arcade games for a few minutes. Very first game we attempted to play was not working properly and had a "call attendant" playing on loop, but none to be found. I just think that for the pretty expensive price of this place, I would expect a higher quality of food, service, and functionality. Overall disappointed and will not go back.
