Great place. I was out running to the grocery store and thought I would stop by to see if this would be a place I want to use in the future the answer is yes. Im about to stock my first 20 gallon and I loved walking in there. I didnt get a close look at their supplies but I did look around at their fish. They have quite a few fresh water and salt water fish that look pretty healthy. I didnt see any dead fish and nothing that looked ill. In fact many of the fish where vibrant in color and active. Several where eating when I went in witch is always a good sign. The prices seem fair for the quality of fish. I cant wait to go back in a week once my tank finishes cycling. I didnt have a chance to talk to the staff but they seemed helpful and where helping another costumer plan what fish would be best for his tank so they seemed very knowledgeable. Excited that there is a good fish store in my area.

This place is just great. After going to 5 fish stores all around the DFW area, I decided to come here. The service is great, the fish are happy and healthy, and the selection of livestock is incredible! I like it here because all of the other stores look at you and see a bag of cash, while these people wont misguide you, wont try and make you spend money you wont need, and make you want to be their customer for life. The service is great, and anything you want, they can get for you. If youre starting the hobby, I recommend you talk to Taylor or Khoi, they really know what theyre talking about and wont try and trick you into something you dont need.

Not somewhere to take the kids. very small store, no air conditioning. the staff didnt seem to know much about freshwater fish, and the freshwater selection is laughable. Petsmart puts this place to shame...but seriously if youre looking for a good fish store, Fish Gallery has a really nice selection of salt and freshwater, best Ive seen around DFW...definitely worth the drive...and Dallas North Aquarium is pretty good too. Also for saltwater...Aquatic Design off 75 between park and 15th...a lot closer than the other 2 and have nice saltwater selection with lots of rare corals. Also the staff is a lot more knowledgeable at Aquatic Design.

Healthiest fish and cleanest tanks in Plano. Prices are a little bit high on livestock but not all too bad. Staff tends to turn over and is hit and miss on advice. Saltwater prices are pretty good, African cichlids are expensive, and other freshwater is mid-priced. Freshwater plant prices are outrageously high - look elsewhere for those. Dry goods are a bit expensive but selection is good for a store of this size. Once in a while there are a couple of grungy looking freshwater tanks but in general their maintenance is great. I really enjoy shopping here and buy a good amount of my livestock from them.

Prices are a little high, but, quality is good - so I thought Id try going there to get some larger fish for my empty 200 gallon tank. What a waste of time. Someone greated me with a "hey" and a head nod. I could hear another employee complaining about the "boring" types fish hed sold. Spotted some nice angels - wanted 5-6 at $20.00, or, since my tank is empty, I could have been talked into switching to a saltwater... but - not a single person approached me offering help. As I left, there were a couple of guys lounging by the cash register. I wont be back.

I have been shopping at Exotic Aquatics for almost 10 years and I have yet to encounter another place which such a knowledgeable ad helpful staff. I have been asking advice and getting help here since I set up my first saltwater tank and they have never led me astray. They have a variety of saltwater corals, fish, and inverts that can be used for a variety of tanks and sizes. However, the best part of this store are the employees. They are all helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I would recommend Exotic Aquatics to anyone with a marine tank.

Not impressed or pleased with the customer service at this store. We were ignored completely during our first visit. 20 minutes of walking around, with only one other customer in the store. No one helped us. The second time, after 10 minutes of the same we sought someone out. The 3rd time, while checking out, there was a pricing discrepancy, and their shelves were clearly labeled wrong. It was not corrected and we were told they would just fix the labels later. 3rd strike for us. Looking for new store to grow our aquariums.

the guy over there is very rude. I asked about their warranty on the fish and he was so rude, he said only 24 hrs. I said that Petsmart and Petco offer 15 days and he got all nasty saying how he wasnt responsible for the fish after they leave the store and even when they get to the store. Some fish looked sick and I pointed that out. He got all nasty. How in the world can people run a business which such stupid customer service. Amazing...I do not reccommend this store at all!

Facility and tanks are clean and attractive. Prices are very competitive. Fish stock appears to be very healthy and the staff are knowledgeable and courteous. David was very professional, listened to all of our questions and was able to correctly diagnose the causes of the aquarium water issues we were having. After administering the suggested water treatment, our tank is now set up and looks better than ever. Thank you!

Called before and asked if I could bring my fish for store credit. I arrived and the offered me 1 dollar each for my large angelfish, which they sell for 20 dollars each. I also asked if they had electric blue rams for sale and they said yes, so I drive 20 miles to find out that their rams have ich and are about to die. Horrible service, go there if you want sick fish and terrible service from their employees

We have been to all the local fish and aquarium stores. This place is very professional. It is a small shop, but the manager, Taylor, is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable (and he is there every day). The other staff seem great too. They have excellent maintenace and set-up services offered, and quality supplies in stock. Also, the fish and corals are healthy and beautiful. Would highly recommend.

One of my favorite fish stores in the Metroplex. Great selection and great prices. The staff is great! The staff is back to where it was a few years ago - great. Ive had fish since I was 10 - that is over 30 years. Exotic Aquatics has the best selection of fish in the metroplex. Very good drygood selection and prices. Not the cheap stuff that needs to be upgraded later.

I see other people have had issues with greeting the customer when they are in the store. Let people know your available for questions even if they are just looking around at first. I have had a mixed experience both times I have been in there. The fish I purchased here have been healthy and thriving vs. the ones I purchased at Petco or any other chain store.

great friendly place to shop, the manager Preston is always willing to answer my questions, and is very helpful. nice coral selection, along with fish. I do how ever thing some of the frags are priced a little high for what the are compared to other shops. matt, david, scott, brian, preston, etc are always helpful with my saltwater questions.
