Have been going to this place since before Yuki took over, and it was an all around pet store. Loved it then, and still love it now. Fish are priced well, and theres always a great assortment of wood. Yuki is always a pleasure to deal with when hes there. Workers are quick to inquire if you need any assistance, and are fairly knowledgeable. It seems where one is uncertain, another picks up the slack. But its always best to research anything before you try to go out, and buy it anyway. The extra information/opinions while youre there are just the icing on the cake. Theres not been one time where I walked out empty handed. This is a 30-45 min drive for me, and is always worth it.

I went into the store Saturday....told the guy I was brand new and was babysitting an Amazon-type tank for a few months and wanted some color for it.. Was very clear I wanted something social and non-aggressive. Told him exactly what was in my tank. I figure if I go to an established neighborhood store, I would get good advice. He sold me 6 barbs. By Monday, they had killed off most of each other and all the other catfish. Of course I google it and find out barbs are very aggressive. By Monday night, I have about 80 bucks of catfish and an albino pleco to replace. No one deserves that type of sick joke.

The Aquarium Boutique is an awesome place to purchase fish and aquarium supplies. Their aquariums are always stocked, the fish are all healthy, and the prices are very inexpensive! The employees are all very knowledgeable and respectful, I have never entered the store without being greeted and asked if they could help me find what I was looking for. The owner Yuki is a great guy to chat with, he makes you feel like more of a friend than just a customer. I would highly recommend shopping at the Aquarium Boutique for all your aquarium needs. Great store. Great people. Great fish.

Ive come by twice and have spent $8. Jackson and another guy are so helpful with my complete redo of my 55 gallon. Their knowledge will help me get my tank ready for fish in about a month and save my giant sucker fish. They even reviewed the starter brand of chemicals anorher store gave and didnt try to sell me something different. They dpbt mind testing my water weekly. They will get all my business when I start restocking only after they give me the green light. And their fish prices are so much better. Grinning

THIS IS THE WORST GROOMING SHOP IN DALLAS. THEY SHAVED MY POMERANIAN! THEY HAVE NO EXPERTISE IN TRIMMING OR SHAPING A CUT FOR CERTAIN BREEDS. THE OWNER HAD NO IDEA HOW A POMERANIAN IS SUPPOSE TO BE CUT. NOT EVEN PICTURES TO REFER TO. THEN THE OWNER INSULTED MY DOG AS NOT BEING WORTH $500. THAT I PAID FOR HIM. ALSO TRIMMED HIS NAILS SO SHORT HE WAS LIMPING. I DONT EVEN WANT TO GO INTO THE STAFF ATTITUDES. SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH PEOPLE WHO LISTEN, CARE AND UNDERSTAND CUSTOMER RELATIONS. NEVER USE THIS SHOP!

My business delivered live fish to the store on a phone agreement for cash for $3 per fish. When we delivered the fish to the store we were given $2 offer per fish then handed a store credit voucher. We hand selected prize fish and personally delivered to the store. This store wasted 2 hours of our time and the stress of my livestock being caight bagged and delivered because of poor business practice. Very poor handling of live stock purchase. Very misleading and likely caused the death of a few of the order.

My fresh water go2. Very good selection. Decent prices. Staff are knowledgable aquarium hobbiests as well. Sells RO water/etc. Will sometimes take trade-ins for store credit. Tanks & fish are well kept... nowhere near as bad as the big retailers. 2/3rds of the store is dedicated to freshwater, and the rest salt and they always have a few brackish tanks too. This store is in the top 10 on my list for the DFW area... IMO this place has everything I would expect from a Aquarium/fish store.

I was greeted couple seconds after walking in, I was asked the right questions, what size my fish tank was what I had etc. When I made my decision I got my fish bagged up and got checked out. I dont get the bad reviews maybe they are expecting marble floors with a Butler. This is what I like in a fish shop: fish and fast service which now a days its hard to come by. I was tired of my old fish shop, it was real fancy but it took forever to get any help and everything was priced way too high.

Very friendly unrude passionate employees who are very honest and knowledgable workers who also care for their fish and costumers ..No obvious signs of anybody stealing anything . occasionally there is a stinch of weed but it comes from marijuana smoking costumers not the employees ... Employees are minimum wage but the service isnt!!! If want you a supercalifradgilisticexpialiodocious time go right in there if not go to petsmart or petco and just bored your self to death

We went here because the place had the best ratings in Dallas. Once we stepped in, I was sure we got the wrong place. Its cramped, humid, smelly and messy. The tanks were dirty and many had sick fish in them. Plant selection was very minimal. We could barely walk through the store because junk was everywhere and dirty empty tanks were stacked up at the front. I definitely wouldnt buy any fish from there because they all looked really sick. I was really disappointed.

I live about 35 miles one way from Boutique Pet shop. So I called to see if they had what I wanted be for making the trip with two small kids. I asked about two fresh water fish. One fish was about 38 for one or 3 for 100. (might as well get 3). Then I asked about a cheaper fish and he told me he was to TO BUSY TO HELP me. Time to find a friendlier fish store.

A word to the wise, do your research before you come to the store. If they see that youre not knowledgeable on the subject, they will steer you straight towards their surplus items and tell you why you "need" them. Even the owner is a nice little old man who could sell ice to Eskimos. Not a bad place to shop, but a very bad place for honest information.

I am actually shocked at some of the bad reviews of this place. From my experience, it was nothing but great! I let Yuki know that I was on a certain budget and that I need help to find something for my 9 year old son to learn to take care of. He helped us out tremendously all with in my budget. Im so glad we found this place. We LOVE our tank!

I only go here for fish, and its a great place to go. I have always had good luck with the stock purchased here; it is much more hardier than at Petsmart or even the Fish Gallery. Debbie, one of the people that works there, is very nice and always answers the dozen or so questions I have with my prospective purchases. I would give it an A+.

Yuki and his crew are very knowledgeable and helpful. Healthy stock. Good selection of plants. All you can ask for in a local aquarium shop. Friendly and welcoming. No high pressure tactics. Thoughtfully work with you to ensure success. Respectful to all and welcoming to the full spectrum of aquarists, from noob to seasoned hobbyists.
