To be nice, this place is mediocre at best. I had purchased tickets over a month in advance and had one cancelation. The management team and customer service was extremely helpful in that regard. But when we arrived, the lobby was generally empty. Not necessarily a bad thing because i hate crowds. In hind site, it was very telling. When i booked the tickets and selected my seats, the description of the seats were the super comfortable electric recliners I love at Grapevine AMC Cinema Suites. When we were shown our seats, they were not what i had selected. They were generic, uncomfortable faux-leather hard back airline seats. That and their height to the ground meant my long legs either had to be stretched out (tripping waiters in the terrible lighting) or i had a majority of pressure on my backside. Then there was the food.. ah yes. The bland, uninspired, terribly prepped food. First, the chicken nachos were described as "awesome", what we got was chip dust with nacho cheese and a handful of veggies. Not the epic platter that was described or shown. Just a bowl and disappointment. Then one of my guests ordered the mac&cheese. She took one bite of the watery, flavor less noodles and didnt touch it again. The chicken quesadillas could have been made by Taco Bell. The Mega-Plex burger was less than even Chilis. And then there was the $4 sodas that cost less than a quarter to fill.

Ive been to many Studio Movie grills across the DFW Area, and had great experiences , this location is an abomination to the franchise. The Only reason i gave it 1 star was because of the awesome front bar........Why was I at the front bar for a while.....well because the theater for our movie wasnt ready until 10 minutes before showtime. The theater upon entering was already really dark, having to use the flashlight app on a cell phone to read menu and the servers werent taking orders until previews started . They have starter and appetizers, but because they were running so far behind, they brought the appetizers and meal all at once, so of coarse some food got cold quickly. Because all of this hustle and bustle was going on , parts of the movie were unwatchable because, because people were engaged with servers. And the food was uneateable, absolutely horrid, with the exception of the quesadillas. To top it all off, the servers stand outside the door and talk and laugh with each other and yuck it up loudly. There is no excuse , this theater wasnt slammed, or jam packed. If Im in the area again ill go , just to see if its that bad, you know people love watching train wrecks, if its better, i will update a review.

Worst service ever..... Appetizers came out after the entrée. The cups were cracked and leaked my drink on my pants. So to make a long story short. We put on the reciept worst service ever and order incomplete in hopes a manger would come and speak to us and we got a manger names Andy. Andy walked up to us and said I dont care about what has happened you are going to pay this bill. My husband said no problem but lets step out of the theater and talk about this. Keep in mind my husband was behind me and when I started to walk Andy blocked my walkway and physically bumped into my chest aggressively and my husband had to defend me and once we finally got out of the theatre we asked for another manager his name was Kevin, Im assuming he handled things accordingly but Andy was so upset he snatched someones plate and started dripping ranch dressing all on the floor as though he was losing his mind in rage. I swear Dont complain while you are here because if Andy is on duty there might be a fight. So unprofessional. I shouldve called the cops. I guess he thought we werent going to pay the bill which is stupid because why would we be still sitting in the theater awaiting a response.

We always go to SMG for big movies. We went friday 4/14/17 to watch The fate of the furious and this was by far the WORST experience EVER. My wife and I went to the 7PM showing and when we got there we hd pressed the red button to start our order and it took them maybe about 15min just for them to come, but they would be attending other people that got there AFTER us. Once we ordered our drinks it took them about another 15min to bring us our drinks. Then when they brought our appetizer we ordered the chicken nachos with the lettuce/tomato on the side they didnt do that they filled the nachos up with lettuce and tomatos so we told them about and it took them about another 15min to bring us the app. When they brought the app the 2ND time they just brought all of our food together and the guy seemed rude. Also the Dr pepper we had was disgusting. After our food we ordered our desert the brownie sundae. When they brought the desert the lady came out of no where and got between me and my wife kind of all in our faces not expecting it and walked away. HORRIBLE experience. Never will i go to this location again. Hopefully they can improve for future customers.

Visited SMG Lewisville on 7/29 to see the 7:30 showing of Star Trek. The movie was awesome... Our experience at SMG left much to be desired, especially for the money we shelled out for our dinner. 1. We were under the impression that the seats were to be reclining, and theyre not. My husbands seat (row three all the way on the left wall) had a broken back and was pitched forward. So he had to lean against the wall to avoid falling out of the chair. 2. Service was deplorable. My parents had to wait until after they got their food to get their drinks.. and they had to ask the server for them. My husband had his light on for about 10 minutes waiting for a refill of his drink. He had to get up and go to a server to get the refill himself. 3. The drinks were weak/watered down. 4. The food, once we finally received it, was mediocre at best. And was cold. Not worth $25/person for sure. 5. When we first ordered, the server took a card "to get the order started". Then at the end, they wanted the card again to charge the bill again.. Needless to say, we were so disappointed, and obviously will not be returning.

Me and my husband have been coming here for a long time, we live in Denton and their Managers are horrible. We had the worst experience!!! We came to watch a movie and our server Caitlyn was rude and looked like she did not want to take our orders and had the cook take our drinks to us an a dessert. We only saw our server when she brought our check. From what I remember it was 9pm on a weekday and were not busy. We paid in cash and wrote on the receipt it was paid in CASH with big letters. A couple of days later our card had charged us the $23.54 we had spent. She literally kept the $23.54 for herself as her tip and charged our card!!! We came and spoke to the managers and told them about the issue and told us it was going to take 3-5 business days. 2 weeks past and nothing!!! We came back again from Denton and spoke to Blake the manager and he sounded completely STUPID! We asked for the general manager and gave us the same phone number on the website that no one picks up the phone!!! He made the return process and we signed receipts. Lets see if we really get our money back this time?????????????
