The Tournament Course is one of three member courses of The Woodlands Country Club (the other two being The Palmer Course and The Player Course). It is also the oldest of the three member courses and, in my view, the best of the three. Key tip - The location in The Woodlands of the Tournament Course (1730 S Millbend Dr, 77380-1474) is different from that of The Woodlands Country Clubs other two courses, The Palmer Course (100 Grand Fairway, 77380) and The Player Course (8900 Sterling Ridge Dr, 77382-2748). All three courses are several miles away from each other, so make sure you go to the correct address. The Tournament Course is a Von Hagge-Devlin design from the late 1970s. It was home to the Shell Houston Open for 20 years and is currently the home of the popular Insperity Invitational, which is the Houston-areas Champions Tour event.

I got the chance to play on this course once and had a great time. Unfortunately, we played after a weekend when we had some of the worst rain. Therefore, the course was completely soggy. The course is very challenging and we still had a fun time. The only reason that I didnt give it five stars was because I feel that the drainage could have been better. Most of the courses had spots that were flooded and made it difficult to fully enjoy the course. Despite the inconvenience, the course is worth giving a try.

Probably the most accommodating Golf Club Ive ever been to. Hospitality is Paramount at this location. The people are friendly enough, but still have a air of overconfidence.
