If you want saltwater fish, corals or equipment, this is your one stop shop. Everyone there is very knowledgeable of all their fish, corals and equipment. From selling fresh RO/DI water, saltwater and testing your existing water, they will do it all there. When you walk in there and talk to either of the 2 Nicks....they make you feel more like family then just being a customer and concerned about your needs and to help you understand what you need to do to make your setup right. I am still dealing with them, just purchased the Red Sea 525 XL to be delivered this Sunday and set up, had no choice to get out of my 40 gal breeder tank with what all I plan on wanting to put in my tank now :) I was going to "Fish Gallery" and after going to Ocean Life Aquariums, will no longer be going back to FG....tank are much cleaner here and little to none on the pest in the tanks. This place is AWESOME and i really dont mind making the drive from Baytown to there just to even look around. Will only go to my LFS just if i need something quick and that is about the only time they will ever see me at Petco lol

My disclaimer is that I have never bought a fish here but my nine-year old son and I like to stop in and look at the aquariums, fish, and coral. We recently set up a small saltwater aquarium at our house and my son loves going to OceanLife to look around. He is always full of questions and the staff always answer his questions with patience and respect. We have purchased a few small items here but they treat us as if we were VIPs every time. The customer service is outstanding as is their knowledge of saltwater set ups. When I finally pull the trigger on the 500 gal set up, there is only one place I will go for purchase and set up. OceanLife Aquariums sets the bar in service and saltwater aquariums.

I am a first time buyer. They are extremely helpful. I went twice before buying a tank and spent some time answering all my questions. Even after I bought it they welcome me to come In and offer me tips and suggestions, even test my water to make sure Im on the right path. It takes a whole month to get the water right before animals can live in the tank. They are more worried about the tank being set up right then making money and selling you fish and them not living ! Believe me I tried buying fish. All in all super happy! Come here first before you go to pet smart. They really care!

Nick and his staff at Oceanlife ROCKS! They are very knowledgeable and everytime I visit, I leave a happy customer. They take the time to educate you on the hobby, the livestock and wont sell you anything that is sick just to get the money. In my opinion, this is the best reef store in the city! There are a lot of other stores in Houston, but Oceanlife Aquariums, hands-down is the best! Their pricing is very fair especially for high end coral and fish. If youre looking for honest and hard working folks who sincerely care for your business, then look no further.

Im normally not the kind of person that writes reviews, but these guys are AWESOME!!! I was really close to abandoning any LFS and start ordering exclusively online, but once I went here I decided not to. They have great prices, great selections of healthy livestock, are knowledgeable about the hobby and they will answer any question. They are very passionate about what they do and it shows.

I personally value service over many factors and this place is awesome. Nick (tatted one. Lol) is awesome. The man loves his marine animals and extremely knowledgable in the hobby. Ive visited most marine fish shops in Houston and this is my favorite. Great selection and is now my one stop and only stop for salty animals. Good job Nick(s).

Great lfs, very clean and well kept, little to no dead fish, very good quality livestock with a good selection of corals at a fair price, I just picked up a non photosynthetic gorgonian the other day and it is doing amazing in my tank. Ive visited this location several times and will continue to go back

Trying to do some Sunday Fathers Day shopping. Tried to call several times since noon (their posted hours) with no answer. Im from out of town and unwilling to just drop by without seeing if they even have stock Im interested in. Luckily there are other shops that are open and answer their phone.
