Went to see James Taylor. As far as all the parking issues, I arrived an hour and 15 minutes early and had no problem. I would not want to be there any later than that and deal with parking. The concessions are awful, meatball sandwich and nachos are overpriced and not good. $5.00 for a bottle of water. Not only are the seats, like everyone else described, too small, uncomfortable, and super cheap, there is no distance between the rows either. It is totally not safe and not comfortable to move up and down a row. Again, as the seats were zip-tied to fit as many as possible, the floor seating, unless youre at the very front, is totally not worth it and far too dangerous if you had to evacuate the building. It might be okay for high school football, but I wouldnt go to another concert here. My seats were on the floor at the front of the second section and I had no problem hearing the music. If youre seated at the back of the floor section, Im quite certain you cant see anything. What caught my attention to begin with, was the fact that it was a small venue, but that advantage is totally overridden by the cheap seating and cramped conditions.

The center looks good but the seats are terrible to sit thru an event. You are cramped in like coach on an airlines and no cushion. The isles very narrow no way you can get by unless people move. Im a small person and was cramped my husband is Big and he was miserable. We will not go back for anymore events and pay those prices to be miserable and parking and was bad and took forever to get out. People nice but people seating you did not know how to direct u to your seat we went to three areas to get to our seat in section 204. We were exhausted just going up and down the stairs to get to our seats because there was no way to get from one side to the other without going back down the stairs you cant cut across because no isle open to get you across. Was impressed with security. Seating is not the place to cut corners ever in an event center. Also we went to James Taylor Concert he was great but Bonnie raitt was so loud and the music echoed from the back wall irritated our guest. Not enough bathroom stalls too. Hope they make it

Disappointing experience. Attempted to purchase tour tickets online before going. Ticketmaster site said temporarily unavailable, try again later. Drove out to The Star arriving @ 1pm. The ticket booth attendant said she was only selling tickets for the boxing match that evening in the plaza, and the tour ticket person was on a lunch break and would be back at 1:30. Waited as the crowd lining up to buy tickets grew to 15 - 20 people. Tour ticket booth did not open at 1:30. Finally at 1:51 I asked a supervisor what the issue was. He said hed look into it. 10 minutes later a woman came out saying all tours were sold out for the day. How hard would it have been to have a small sign on the window saying tours were sold out, instead of making people wait an hour in the sun? Or maybe inform the ticket people selling the boxing tickets, because everyone was going up to them asking about tour tickets. There were a lot of employees walking around. Should have someone in charge who knows something and let all the people waiting whats going on.

Attended the James Taylor concert. The concert itself was FANTASTIC, but the venue did a very poor job of preparing for traffic. We were 1/2 a mile from the venue and hour and 45 minutes before show time, and we sat down in our seats 30 minutes after the show began. We were directed to a parking lot only to find out the owner of the lot shut it down because the venue didnt have an agreement with them, so you can imagine what the rest of the situation was like around the venue. It also took us 30 minutes to exit the venue at the conclusion of the concert. I dont mean drive away from the venue. It took us 30 minutes to walk from our seats to the door going outside. Very poor crowd control. I understand this was the venues first concert, so I hope theyve learned a valuable lesson, otherwise, we will never attend another concert at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas.

one reviewer says " Acoustics are stellar, seating and traffic flow is smooth. Staff is very professional and accommodating". we must have attended a different concert. acoustics were awful but about what id expect at a sports venue, not a music venue. there was no traffic "flow"..almost an hour to park, egress was 1.5hrs & far worse. Frisco PD I saw were doing nothing & Collin county sheriff not much better. entry points choked & whats with the purple arm bands? instructs said no reentry, so why waste more time getting banded? loved the portable toilets; another example of a bad venue for 20k people. mighta been 1st show for Jerrys place but this aint his 1st rodeo...Cowboys stadium was a disaster early on, should have learned from that in a venue 80% smaller. Bonnie & James deserved better.

Stayed 2 nights at the Omni hotel - very nice hotel with friendly staff and great service. Toured the Cowboys facilities which was outstanding (little disappointed in our tour guides boss who tagged along and was a bit rude and bossy not only to the group but also our tour guide). Nevertheless, we seen several players and coaches in the halls along the tour and timed it just right when they exited the locker room to head out to the Ford Center ( couldnt visit locker room or the Ford Center due to practice. One of the highlights was seeing Jerrys helicopter land at the practice field. Overall a very memorable experience. Glad we visited this place in the early stages - cant imagine how it will expand over the coming years! Highly recommend the experience.

Looks like they bought the absolutely cheapest seats possible. Terrible, flimsy plastic. I am concerned about how long it took for the crowd to exit the floor after the James Taylor concert. If it had been an emergency, I believe it would have been a tragedy. I cant imagine it actually complied with fire codes. Once you were up off the floor you were still in a crowd like a bunch of cattle because there was only one clear exit out of the building. It appeared that the placement of vendors booths caused the bottleneck. I dont recall ever being in a venue with such poor crowd flow at the end of the concert. Frisco Fire Marshal, please check it out. And the parking was unorganized, very poor.

James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt are first class performers and they were fantastic! Cant say anything else good about this event. Paid $100 for a folding chair on the floor with no view of the stage. With limited and narrow stairway access to the floor had there been a fire 1000s would have perished. We ate at a restaurant less than 2 miles away and it took us 1 hour 15 minutes to park, get through security and get to our seats. Missed 30 minutes of Bonnies set. Took just as long to get to the freeway after the show. Will not be attending another event at this venue. Feel sorry for the folks who live in that area that have to deal with the non-existent traffic plan.
