Mad Warrior

The schools mindset here is very flawed. People here care just about education in numbers, about GPAs. They dont care about the learning aspect in education. I have literally seen peers get a boost to their grade by begging. Students often times rather spent time finding a way to cheat than to learn. The way teachers cheat is more about quanity than quality. They just test you if you know facts and dont really connect the lesson with other courses or life. Coming to this school was a bad decision but I learned what I wanted. I have to admit though that I have met very nice people there are made strong friendships. The problem is the mindset of the whole enviroment. There is racism, discrmination, no respect for teachers and little motivation to induce curiosity into students. The bad completely overshadows the good in this school. It has potetntial but its not there yet. I think a way they could change would be to reduce the amount of students enrolled or increase the number of teachers. Teachers cant really connect with the students becuase they are too busy uploading grades to the schools system or grading. It almost makes you feel like you arent there. They also need to be aware of the teachers they hire. Some of the teachers I met in my time at the Highschool could care a penny about education, many are just there for the money and that sickens me. In conclusion, they need to care less about football and basketball and work on their academic system. It once was good because teacher to kid ratio was rational but it has now become unstable and thus the event specified above have occured. I will be always be CHS cowboy but I dont want to lie. Instead I want to bring the truth, to help innovate this achool with much to improve.

The problem with this school is bullying, there has been a lot of bad minded people lately especially year 2019 students, but the really good thing there is in CHS is there academics especially in sports. The teachers SUCK to be honest, now Im not saying all of them but some of them are just lazy, they just tell you facts and not the actual lesson. They never go deep enough for us to even be able to understand. There basketball team is very nice, they coaches know how to coach and they actually care for our skills to not only be on the team and games, but to improve as a future basketball player. Coach Phell is a head coach and he has a really good relation with students and helps them improve as a player in discipline. The two other coaches are Coach English and Coach Nash, they also teach academically very nice and coach very well, if a player fails to meet any requirement, then they help them learn the skills they need help with and disciplines them till they get it right.

The schools goals are more about the numbers, than the actual learning experience. Whose idea was it to take bunch of AP classes to the point to where you have to catch and throw to make the grade without learning anything? In the past, people only took one or two AP classes on subjects, they actually liked, so they were able to experience deep learning. Also, there are only a few teachers who actually care about teaching the material. The other teachers give random assignment without teaching anything. This school also should cut back on the whole 21st century learning thing. Teachers are taking advantage of this by depending solely on computers to do the whole work for them. Its also not ideal. I wish they kept it simple: just give us a book and some lectures and well learn. On a positive note, the social aspect isnt all too bad, and the extracurriculars are great, and anyone can do whatever they want to do.

I went to Coppell High School. This place is a racist and classiest institution. You will succeed if you have lots of money and are white. If you are not white or rich, beware. Parents who are people of color please have extreme amounts of participation in your childrens education, if you dont your child will be left behind, despite what George Bush said.

The school is ignoring the sexual assault of an autistic boy. I urge the school to take action. If the school does not take action then they are indirectly encouraging such activities. The assault happened on 26th May.
