BEWARE GROUPON CUSTOMERS!!!!! I bought (2) Groupons for the Light Catcher Winery ($86.00 value x 2). Everytime I try to make a reservation and are given times that are available, they then ask if I have a GROUPON, and when I say yes, they tell me they made a mistake and they have no reservation times available. I have done this for several times now with NO luck in getting a reservation, simply because I have a GROUPON. The bad part is they expire on 4/10/12. Also, The Details on the Groupon requires a 24 hr Notice....Wow, I have been dooped on this purchase. I was told today that I can be put on a wait list, but no confirmation of when. The Manager or Owner that I spoke with told me that they let everyone use there GROUPONS, they would literally go out of business. I feel sorry for those who have like me, purchased a GROUPON for this Resturaunt. I buy these every week, and have never been turned down for service. I also purchased a Buy It Now GROUPON for Lunch the week before Valentines Day and when I got to the resturaunt, they said their Diner was closed for their V-Day Dinner Reservations. They were glad to take my money earlier in the day.

Incredible atmosphere, great food and service! I did not go on an evening during which music was played so I cant speak to that, but I am surprised to read such negative reviews. The ambiance was incredible, the scenery was fantastic. I thought the food and service were beyond reproach. I went there with my girlfriend at the end of March. We were a little disappointed we couldnt sit outside, but we were able to drink a glass of wine on the patio before dinner. We also used the Groupon. She made the reservation and apparently it was tough. We were only able to go on a Thursday night at 7:30, but it worked fine for us. We got there early and did a wine tasting. The wine was good and unique. We had grilled Ahi tuna as an appetizer, marinated flank steak and quail as entrees, and an apple tart dessert. The food was outstanding. We received water without charge. I have told most of my friends and family about our great experience there and we will definitely return!

Charged us double for tastings "because we had a big group" ON A NIGHT IT WAS EMPTY. Will never come back. Heads up, do not call ahead for big groups. Walk in so you arent overcharged. NOT family or group friendly. What a rip-off. Edit: WOW what a response. No wonder the other reviewers mentioned rude service. Throughout the time we were there, no more than 7 people TOTAL were at the winery. So no, I did not notice the 30 other people because there were not 30 other people there . Buyer beware & STAY AWAY! Ill say this much; there is an underlying reason companies end up on Groupon, and it aint because theyre doing well. Edit 2: The owner changed their response from its original temper tirade to this thoughtful, polite comment. Please dont let them deceive you. There are better places to go in the area.

Was not impressed with the facility. Outside seating for a wedding was a bunch of bar chairs and some outdoor furniture. The bridal suite is a walk in fridge where they keep the wine and you are expected to share it with the groom to get ready. I was insulted by the person giving me the tour when she informed me that I could not afford to have my wedding there. She was out of line when she decided I should have only 30 guests and not 120 like I have invited. Not worth the supposed cost. Found a better, larger venue within my pauper budget. Would not recommend to anyone of my wine loving family or friends.

I have been looking forward to going to Wincatcher for two years. We finally made it tonight. We paid $20.00 cover to hear "live Jazz" we heard "talking folkers" that occassionally played a song. We paid $5.00 for a wine tasting:$45.00 for a bottle of wine and cheese plate. We joined friends and couldnt hear anyone talk because the talkers were talking so much. However, my biggest complaint is that they dont offer you a glass of water. You have to pay for a bottle of water. I love to pay for enjoyable times. Tonight I was disappointed except that the location is indeed beautiful.

I attempted to use a Groupon a couple of weeks prior to its expiration. The restaurant offered, at first, to make a regular reservation, but once I told them I had a Groupon, they said they had no "Groupon reservations" available. I was supposedly placed on a waiting list, but - surprise! - no openings ever came available. Groupon will not refund my money, and the Lightcatcher people were simply horrible to deal with. Obnoxious, rude, and condescending.

We moved to Ft Worth area, April 2012, and found Light Catcher Winery while house hunting. We had dinner there for St Valentine Day, and it was excellent. Joined the Wine club and have returned once a month since. Dont tell anyone what a jewel this place is. Good staff, excellent food and great wine. We bring out of towners here and they are impressed. Check out Jazz Sundays!!

Music was the only good thing about the place. Service was awful, waiter was rude and sarcastic, had to ask for the bread and mash potatoes that was supposed to come with the meal. And because I was with a large party, they automatically added 20% tip, when he didnt deserve that much. On top of that they added $10 extra on my debit card without my permission.

We were met rudly at the door before entry. We went there for my moms birthday, and brought a birthday cake. We were told no outside food or drink. She stated "we have deserts here for sale" just plain rude. Its not like we were wanting to bring in a sack lunch. They need to chill out and not be so greedy!!!!

The chef here is a true master. Her cuisine is frankly amazing and very high end yet the atmosphere here is wonderfully casual and friendly. Truly a delightful experience!
