I worked for Lost Oak winery for about a year and a half back in 2008, which was actually more “fun” than work. I quickly became attached to the family and took on a sense of belonging. I always enjoyed my shifts, the scenery, the amazing wine and all the great customers! Back in July 2016 my boyfriend proposed to me and I immediately began planning our wedding. No other venue came to mind than Lost Oak Winery! Not only did I personally know how all weddings were planned and executed but the scenery is also magnificent. I was happy to learn that they had built a new pavilion for weddings and such. Wow, was I surprised at this grand structure!! Not only is it full of light, the beautify from the outdoors is brought in with all the windows. I must say they did an exquisite job with the plans of this building. We were happy to meet Sheila, our wedding coordinator. She helped me go through all the steps slowly and professionally. As a bride, you can be scatterbrained but Sheila helped me stay focused, on schedule and suggested things I had never thought of! We had a rather limited budget but with Sheilas help, you would think we had spent triple what we did!!! She was amazing to work with! Since our wedding, many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. From the food, to our first dance which was choreographed to surprise our guests. Sheila also referred us to a phenomenal DJ who had everyone on the dance floor till the end. It was the PERFECT venue........ a night that no one will ever forget, especially for my husband and me.

BEAUTIFUL WEDDING VENUE. AMAZING STAFF. My husband and I worked with both Sheila (planning process) and Rachel (final decisions and the big day) to coordinate our wedding at the winery. Their attention to detail was amazing! Being so detail oriented, I appreciated having Rachel be on the same page as I was regarding final details and the day of the wedding. While I’m sure it’s all in a day’s work for them, I felt that Rachel and her staff went above and beyond for our big day, she was even gracious enough to give our top tablecloths a quick steaming when I felt that the fold lines were a little to pronounced for my preference. As guilty as I felt asking her to help with that, I couldn’t be more thankful for her willingness to do so. Now on to the venue – so lovely! We purposefully booked our wedding when everything would be green and growing, and the setting did not disappoint! Not to mention their new events pavilion… just perfect for what we wanted. It was the perfect space for our guests and us. I couldn’t imagine choosing a different place to say ‘I do!’

I called to see if there was a fee to take engagement photos out there. I was told we could each do a 5 dollar tasting and that we would have access to the whole vineyard to take photos. We found babysitters, paid our photographer and brought exactly 15 dollars. When we got there they told us no that there was a 25 dollar photography charge and would not honor what we were told. They were so rude about it and would not let us just give them the only 15 dollars we had. I am appauled at customer service like this. I have sunk at least 400 dollars into their cases of wine over the years as gifts. I own 3 businesses and would never have done this to one of my customers. We do not support this place anymore. If they are this rude to us just imagine how awful they would have been to us if I had decided to actually have my wedding here!! Thumbs down!!

We drove 30 minutes to visit this winery. When we got there, the only visible entrance was down a gravel slope. I slid and fell almost immediately. Im now on my way home with a bruised and bleeding hand and knee and my clothes are probably ruined. I think it is outrageous that there is not a safe, clearly marked entrance. I dont even know how its legal to have that be an entrance. I noticed handicapped spaces at the bottom if the slope, but were not handicapped. Please invest in safer entrances for the safety and loyalty of your guests because it is extremely dangerous as it is now. If there was a better entrance, it was not clearly marked. We are very disappointed that our Saturday night is ruined thanks to something so preventable on your part. We will not be returning. I could have broken something.

We were quite surprised by our recent visit and plan to return soon. The proximity to the DFW metroplex made this an easy trip - 1 hour from far north Dallas. The staff was great - especially Elena - who, having resided for many years in California, is well versed in each wine. The quality of the wine was on par with many vineyards that we have visited in California - this is not your old Texas sweet wine, but a more refined, delicious experience. The grounds are great for venturing off to picnic or just wander about. We only witnessed one dog visitor and plan to bring ours on the next visit. The kicker - reasonable prices and so many events for pick-up parties that the joined the wine club. Lost Oak Winery has it all together and we look forward to sharing it with many additional friends!

My best friend got married at Lone Oak Winery oνer the weekend, and wow. I cant say enough great things. The grounds are gorgeous and haνe a rustic, understated beauty about them. Her photographer had such a loνely landscape in which to take all her photographs. The staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful, taking much of the stress off my friend in the planning process. Last, but certainly not least, their wine was AMAZING, especially the whites and sangria.

A great place to hang out with friends, listen to some live music and have some wine. It is fun to walk around the property and see all the vineyards.

A beautiful winery. It has large areas suitable for all kinds of events. The wine is good and not the typical Texas sweet. I intend to go here again.

We are big fans of Lost Oak. Wine compares to any in California or Washington. Gene and Jim have created a North Texas gem!
