I have ran around this park for about 4 years. Its one mile around. It has a basketball court, baseball field, and a tennis court. Theres always trash on the edges of the lake. It is unpleasant to see and sometimes to smell. There are areas to have events on. There is NO recreation center, and no place to go inside with air conditioning. The restrooms do not work, and they stink. Also, last time i tried to go to the restroom there was a grumpy hobo couple living in there. There are portable potties but most likely you wont find toilet paper. I usually just come to play basketball or to run around the park. The playgrounds slide are sticky as if they let ice-cream melt and slide down there. Its not as bad as it sounds. Families and sports teams come to play on the weekends. Some families have parties here, and many celebrate Easter and have Easter egg hunts.

I live across the street! I love coming to this absolutely gorgeous lake park to walk with a friend as I sip on a smoothie, have a quick tennis match, play soccer in the open field or take excellent photos with the beautiful lake scenery. Also I have friends with their children here and they love it since there is a large spacious playground and the lake to see all sorts of animal life.

Nice park to exercise, walk dogs, and let children play. Its very open which gives a safer vibe. Theres a baseball/softball field, open grassy areas for soccer, a section with playground equipment for children, areas for a small or large get together. People are always nice and dogs are not allowed to be out without a leash. The city does a fine job keeping the park clean.

The lake is gorgeous and can often lure fishermen to her shore. The path around the lake is about a mile and has a lot of playgrounds, gazebos, a basketball court and tennis court. Make sure to use bug spray and watch where you are walking. Its well taken care of but a few cracks in the sidewalks. Also be kind to other walkers and bikers and share the sidewalk :)

Or had been a few years since I have been here, but I an impressed with the updates. Theyre are new walking trails, many more new park benches to enjoy the scenery, there are also many more picnic tables as well as BBQ grills. The childrens playgrounds have also been updated. I would recommend spending an afternoon there with the family.

Its a nice park with nice views of the lake from various spots, and facilities with tables and seating for picnics and parties (which may be reserved), but the park needs some TLC from the parks department. Even in the midday heat it was a popular place though not crowded.

Great Park. Play Ground is in excellent condition. Great open space for soccer practice. Fishing available at pond on Northeast corner. Basketball courts on East side of park. Baseball Field on South side of park. (Usually Flooded) has poor drainage and frequently muddy.

This park has a very nice view of the lake and that is my favorite part about it. I can always enjoy the view from almost anywhere. The park is kept clean and is very nice for family events with the tables available with a shade.

The park is beautiful with great views of downtown across the lake. Tennis courts and baseball field are available. Lots of picnicking, too. Look up its interesting history from the early 1900s.

Pretty scenery but there is trash everywhere in the lake and the pavilions where people have had Birthday parties and such and did not cleaned up very well. Also, a few hobos reside here.
