I have now hiked this park twice and cannot wait to go again! Definitely wear sturdy shoes and thick socks - the trail is very rocky with plenty of steep ups-and-downs. The most challenging and fun for me are Yaupon (long), Woodland (short) and Laurel (short) - so you may want to avoid these if you have the little ones with you. For this reason I prefer to start with the left trail and circle around and back up the middle (1.5 hr.) Although I always see other people around, you should heed the warning signs and lock your valuables up in your trunk - also, use the public toilets before you take off. Definitely well worth the $3 donation :)

Beautiful area to hike. Settled along the 360 Loop the trails will take you up and down some steep hills to give you the most spectacular views. There are waterfalls along the way too that are beautiful to watch and listen to, These trail are carrier or walking only and definitely not stroller friendly. I am definitely keeping this one on my list to go back to.

Hike was fun and the whole things free, which is nice, but the waterfall at the moment is basically nonexistent, and the creeks are pretty low and the water itself is really gross. DO NOT go swimming here. Would advise waiting until after some heavy rainfall to check this out.

Simply the best place to hike anywhere near Austin. The trails involve a lot of up and down hiking - youll leave sweating after a trip through here. The waterfall is under a mile into the trail and is a relaxing place to unwind in the middle of a big city.

Different trails different size, parking is on the small size. Nice views although the side where the highway is at has a bit of road noise it kinda disturbs the ambiance, but theres nothing that couple be done about that.

Great maintained trails. Good for a short hike (2.5 loop) nice view of hills ( great for birds of prey spotting) & when the water is flowing beautiful waterfall. Two small hill sections, nice to build cardio strength.

I have a dog and she can be smarter than some people who DO NOT respect MUST-LEASH areas in Austin! Truth! So, I am GLAD they wont allow Them here at WB. Whew! No confrontations with dummies who wont follow rules.

Nice hiking and is big enough not to run into many people. Sadly dont allow dogs. Im sure its for conservative, but still, six foot leash should be ok. Also would be nice if some signs point to the trail head.

Favorite "little known" hiking spot. Small but challenging hike. Roughly 1-hr for big loop around. Really beautiful and charming waterfall and creeks, but only after big rains.

Great place to take a hike. I call it the stair stepper..:) Lots of ups and downs. Best hiking is right after a rain if your want to see the falls

Way prettier than I imagined. A good hike down into a canyon to see a waterfall, then back up along a cliff with a scenic hill country view.

Nice area and free. Perhaps the best thing is NO DOGS to deal with. Honestly, folks, you dont have to take you dog EVERYWHERE you go!!
