I have a feeling the people who have given this place 5 stars are either friends with the owners or have never gone to another river to tube in Texas. I cant understand why anyone would give this place such high reviews! The only reason we went here was because every other place was booked- for a reason I guess. First, the people who run this place seem very paranoid and are very strict. We felt like we had to continually watch ourselves and they kept on driving by to check on us, to an uncomfortable degree. Keep in mind we are pretty laid back families. There is a $25 per dog deposit because you may not pick up your poop. Dogs CANNOT be off leash for any reason- they WILL watch you. It feels like they think theyre doing you a favor staying there. You cannot park or drive on the grass- yet their RV pads are very hard to back onto and if you do park even partially on grass for a minute to get organized- one of the employees sits there watching you and reminding you to move your car. Only one car per site, because everyone is very squished together- yet we did see some spots with more than one car so ??? Not sure why they were so protective of their grass- there were vicious stickers everywhere that hurt our kids and dogs. Perhaps they should kill those before they get so picky. And this place is VERY overpriced. I have never been to a RV place that was so expensive, especially when it has NO bathroom, NO showers (just yucky portapotties and a cold water beach shower), no sewer utilities for RVs. The tubing was a normal price but they charge you the whole price whether you bring your own tube or not (ridiculous, Ive never been to a place this nickel and dimey). FINALLY- the tubing was really below average. Such a boring area of the Brazos, way too long of a trip (4 hours)with pretty scenery but nothing special for Texas. Their beach was really average and pretty rocky. I mean, theres no other competition around (there was no one else on the river- probably because its a boring float) so perhaps thats why they advertise it as so great. Take it from me- go to the Frio where people are laid back, friendly, there are fun rapids and waterfalls, and the tubing is fun.

This is a family owned park. And they care about maintaining a clean family fun place. They actually lead you down to your site on their Kubota, who does that? Michelle even offered to help hook us up (a rock was stuck in our ele. system). Nice to talk to. Things that may have changed, idk, because this was our first time there... We encountered NO STICKERS, only Bermuda, and wild grass around the outside edges. There is a dump station for your RV. There are no day use permits for this property. I felt very safe, not having people wandering around. The beach has both sand and gravel. I found fossils, and petrified wood. We will be back again.

Wonderful place. Bring some burlap to remove stickers from the grass, and a spray bottle of vinegar to treat a sunburn. Michelle was very accommodating and checked up on all the campers regularly to see if we needed anything. Great place to escape for an extended weekend.

Great people, the river was wide, clean, and empty. We were the only ones on it! Remember though, only drive 5 mph.
