I attended the Indie House Events launch at this beautiful venue. The parking is street parking so for bigger events I am unsure if they offer a different option but, I would opt for valet parking if you are having a wedding or classier affair. The grounds are gorgeous but, make sure you tell your guests to wear flats or shoes they can walk down stairs and across unpaved areas. The view at the bottom near the water is impeccable. I could see a beautiful wedding taking place here especially since they have a section for a ceremony with tiered seating for optimal views and picture taking options for all guests. I imagine that the area that we were in, which as water view access, would be great for a tented reception. I didnt see any bathroom options so, I cant comment on that but, overall this is a very beautiful venue with well manicured lawns that worked great for the event that I was at and I am sure it would for many others. It definitely has many photo op areas with lush greenery!

My 4 year old attended a couple of the art camps this past summer and truly enjoyed it. The teachers were very competent and friendly and the grounds were very serene and peaceful. The classes were decent size with about 10 kids per class and I really do feel my sons artistic ability has improved considerably. I wanted him to experience a true art class that focused on a particular subject and AMOA gave that to him. The only con was the parking situation was very tight and caused a traffic jam. The cafe was less to be desired with not offering more snacks or having much of a menu, but the facilities were very clean and the staff was friendly.

When I visited, I wasnt given too much information. It was just a little off-putting when we first walked in. Theres not much thats clearly marked. There was a bride in a chaise lounge being photographed in the room with the information desk. The worker at the desk told us somewhat vaguely that there were art exhibits outside and I picked up a map myself. The artwork was fantastic and so are the views. It was a great place to walk around for an afternoon. But Id suggest investing a little more into signage at the very least.

There are a lot of classes available here, and member previews are held here as well for those with a membership to AMOA/Arthosue (theyre combined now). The grounds are beautiful, and there are many weddings associated with this place. If youve been to the museums downtown already and are looking for something new- take a short drive out here and get what youre looking for.

Laguna Gloria is part of The Contemporary (formerly the Austin Museum of Art) and a beautiful property near Lake Austin. My main experiences here have been the annual La Dolce Vita Food and Wine Festival that serves as a fundraiser for the art school. Ive volunteered for the event several years in a row and love seeing all the new artwork that gets added year to year.

The AMOA Arthouse is one of a kind. The grounds are beautiful and the exhibitions are always interesting. The main building is rather small, but there is always a lot to see. They also have quite the variety of art classes for all ages. Definitely worth checking out even if you just walk around the grounds.

I cant speak to the school here, but the historic building of Laguna Gloria is gorgeous and a real Austin treat. The tour is minimal but Im really looking forward to one of the festivals that are held there annually (Italian fest and the Dolce Vita fund raiser are two that come to mind).

Beautiful grounds for La Dolce vita! It is an annual event where local restaurants and vendors setup booths for you to try their tasty morsels. All the proceeds go back to help out AMOA. Start looking for it during the summer!

This is one of my most favorite museums in town. Beautiful landscaping. Right on the water. Some interesting art pieces in the main building. They also offer a variety of art classes throughout the year.

Beautiful, classic Austin location. Great for weddings, hosts my favorite event, La Dolce Vita, every year in the fall. Art classes are held on the grounds as well.

A real treasure of Austin. Beautiful grounds and a great place to bring friends from out of town. An oasis just a short drive from downtown.

The inside portions are small, but the sprawling pathways through trees and beside the lake are spotted with interesting sculpture.

I love Laguna Gloria, the grounds are so nice. The house itself is fairly small but houses a nice collection.
