This could have been an ugly review. But Ill give an extra star for the bartenders because theyre cool. I had a temporary license and showed it to the bouncer at the door. The bouncer looked at it and shook his head and handed it back to me, not letting me in. Fine thats normal. I took out my old drivers license along with the temp and handed it back to the bouncer, telling him that it was real. What he did next was "so shocking you wouldnt believe it!" (trying to caption it like those facebook articles) The bouncer took my temp, crumbled it up and threw it on the ground. No lie. I was so pissed. A nice stranger picked up my id and handed it back to me. Luckily there was another bouncer so I went to him and he was like "Woah chill man, go ahead. Sorry about that." I went inside, got my shot of Liquid Cocaine, and left. In case you were wondering...I was sober.

The guy at the door is the stupidest person to have checking ids ! We are visiting from Az and he didnt allow us to go in because he didnt know how the Az Drives License looked. Everyone in the group is well over 25 and he denied entry because he wasnt sure if they were real. When we asked to speak to the manager he said no, get out the way. Worst customer service EVER! This place deserved a ZERO rating!

Typical college bar. Its been a go to place on dirty 6th since many of the main bars closed down. ONE WORD : CHEAP drinks. Pretty much is whats expected on "dirty" 6th = filthy college kids! On slow weekdays though they do offer "beer pong" and other drinking games.

A bar that has an aquarium in it! So maybe thats not the most exciting thing but there are always nice people, good drink prices, and an excellent staff at this bar. The is a lot of room with the second story balcony. Its a 6th street bar well worth stopping into.

Fun, college bar on 6th with loud dance music and cheap drinks. However, there is a bit of a theft problem here. Its known for having cell phones and wallets stolen from purses and pockets, so be safe! and always keep an eye on your belongings!

Ive grown up in this town since the late 80s and the Aquarium IS Austin! Its not "trying" to do anything. Its just very affordable, very cool, very fun. Oh, and the staff is pretty freakn hot, too. You gotta check this place...

Great venue, music, plenty of seating, good prices and excellent downtown social scene. Service is good, but can get a bit loud. Makes for a late, where should we go next kinda place.

The Aquarium has its moments. It can be packed and filled with people dancing and having fun. It can also smell terrible. It is what dirty 6th is all about.

Great staff, they have beer pong during the week, and the bar has an awesome location. Seriously though, the staff there is top of the line.

Always a good time, cheap drinks, but they need are in desperate need of a rennovation. The aquarium doesnt even have real fish!
