This is the best fish store in the metroplex without question. My girlfriend and I have frequented many stores over the past 2 years, including Dallas North, Exotic Aquatics, Petcos, Petsmarts, etc. Pros: -Unparalleled customer service -In particular, Russell, the owner, is exceptionally knowledgeable and always goes out of his way to help his customers, whether it be how to correct/prevent any problems with your tank(s) or special orders. He treats your tank problems like they are his own. If hes not in the store its because hes making service calls for his customers which is unheard of. -Consistently has the healthiest tanks around -Employees are always very helpful and friendly -Unlike Dallas North, which only offers a 48 hour money back guarantee on their fish, Aquarium Advantage stands by their merchandise if your water checks out Potential Cons: -The quality of his merchandise will ruin other fish stores for you

I just brought an 60 gallon marine land aquarium with an brand new canister for my fish and got rid of the trash that aquarium advantage sold me I regret the day I was suckered into buying their junk equipment if I would have known what I know now about aquariums and such I would have never called on this rat trap of an so called business I am surprised that its still open let me just cut to the chase if you do not want to be taken advantage of pass of this piss hole and take your business to aquatic solutions they bring their own decorations and give good advice to help you with your pets thiss business respects you and your home plus you will not be taken advantage of and will be looked upon as an customer not an dollars sign so head on down to aquatic solutions you will be glad you did

I am a regular customer here . I wanted a 6 line wrasse from the display tank as all of their stock is empty now . The guy there couldnt catch the fish and he recommended me a coralbeauty fish which i was not sure of it being hardy . He told he could take it back in 48 hour window if it dies . It died in the 48 hour window . I called them if they could take it and the kid there said yes and wanted me to come in . I drove 45 mins and they say salinity is 1.30 and is high . My fishes have been thriving at 1.30 . And clearly 1.25 to 1.30 is ok and they denied my rerurn . M ok with them not giving me refund . They should have been courteous as they asked me to come for a refund and i drove there. Never be nice by taking their recomendations just get what u want . M not going back there.

Great customer service. Friendly and knowledgeable. Russ knows his stuff and stands behind his sales and service. Competitive pricing, helpful staff, A1 customer service. Their new store location south/west corner of Gaylord & Preston is looking good. I purchased a 110 gallon marine tank, stand, canopy, sump, pump, skimmer, lights, powerheads and in home setup. This is my first salt water setup and Russ walked me through the entire salt water process. When I have questions or concerns, he steers me in the right direction with options so that I can make informed decisions. I am very pleased with my purchase and service. If I need him to check on things while I am out of town, I can count on him to check on my tank and address anything and everything that needs attention.

First I walked in their old location, which was a ghost town aside from the one guy who hasnt a care that someone is in the shop. Took five minutes to notice Im there, takes a two second look and returns to the back room without a word. My next visit I have a track emergency, I went in looking for active (refrigerated) bacteria. The staff had no idea it exists, wasnt remotely interested in the product. Then, they open their new location. Same experiences, except less product and more mess in the store. Now I dont even bother walking in even if Im at the sports shop next door. There are far better places to shop that tend to customers and will consider stocking products just on customer interest.

Ive made all my purchases from Aquarium Advantage. The aquarium, live rock, salt water fish, coral, food....Everything. I even had bi-weekly service appointments set up on Fridays until I moved from Frisco to Savannah. Once I moved to Savannah, I started getting horrible service. I even paid them to move my aquarium for me. Once the move was complete and the sand finally settled, I noticed my blood shrimp and a few hermit crabs were missing. You would think

The fresh water fish are mutts and expensive ones at that. The kid told me convict cichlids would be fine with the African cichlids they sold me. He was wrong and they wont take anything back after 48hrs ... Or get store credit.I called 72 hours later thanks Allison...I drove over a hour paid tolls over paid on some wimpy mutt fish...guess its more my fault...nothing good comes from frisco but they sure do like to pretend something does.

Drive thru water pickup, friendly staff and quick turn around on special orders/requests. I have used Russ since he opened and have never been disappointed. I recently went on vacation and as anyone with a reef aquarium knows; vacations can be a little unnerving as something can always go wrong. I was out of the country with no cell communication – having Russ look after my tank really put my mind at ease.

I have tried to give this place my business for 3 weeks now to get an aquarium cleaned out. I cant even get a call back to let me know one way or another. The receptionists seems sweet and courtious dealing with all my calls but other than that its been a horrible experience. Sad when a business doesnt even call you back when you are trying to give them your money. North Dallas Aquarium took my call 1st day.

Russ is great help especially to a newbie like myself. He helped me load 70 gallons of saltwater and even loaned me buckets after we determined that my buckets would likely leak. My aquarium plumbing had a leak and he came the next day and fixed it up. I havent bought livestock yet but he definitely is an expert and is very helpful and friendly. Im confident his livestock would be high quality.

The selection... kinda saddens me. Was expecting a little more. Needs more selection big time. Very bare store. 7/15/17 update: I went back thinking after two years the place would be up and going. Blown away. Nothing. Absolutely nothing in it. I was shocked. How its still there beats me but I wont be giving a third attempt thats for sure.
